Which restaurant would you choose?

We're going the end of April and I'm having trouble deciding which restaurant to go to on our Magic Kingdom day. This is our youngest sons first time and he'll be 10 months when we go and the other one is 3 years old. This is going to be more of a relaxing vacation so we're going to MK one day and then the two water parks and then hanging out at the condo. We'll have my parents and hubby's parents with us also. We usually go to Crystal Palace every year on our MK day but this year everyone wants to do something else. Our two places we narrowed in down to is Tony's Town Square so we don't have to leave the park since we're only there one day or Le Cellier because we've always wanted to try it but that would involve leaving the park which we'll want to come back to for fireworks and Spectromagic. So what should we do??? Or any other suggestions are welcome too. Thanks!

We always say we will try someplace else, but the kids always want Crystal Palace! The food is sooo good. I love Le Cellier, but wouldn't go through hopping there just to eat with the little ones. Just my opinion:confused3

My personal favorite...Le Cellier. My absolute favorite in all of WDW. Enjoy.:thumbsup2

at Wilderness lodge. Boat ride from MK can be fun and you'll be back for parade and fireworks. Fun for kids.

Why not try Chef Mickeys? Yes it would involve leaving the park but you can walk there from MK, so you could return very quickly. Our family always has so much fun there. We try to make it a tradition everytime we go. I think both of your children would love to hang out with Mickey and the gang!!!

I was going to say Crystal Palace since DS was 13 months and LOVED Pooh!!! He also liked Mickey & Friends at Chef Mickey's so that would definitely be a great choice for the young kids. My kids really enjoyed Chef Mickey's and you can walk to the Contemporary (like the pp said), which is nice. If it was my only meal, I would definitely choose a character meal. I would not hop to Epcot just for dinner, it would be such a pain with little ones.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! We like Crystal Palace a lot but have been going there for years now and just feel like it's time for something new. We don't mind hopping if it's really worth it. I know people really seem to like Le Cellier but I want to make sure it's worth the hop back and forth with two little kids. Tony's we went to years ago but I barely remember but I know I liked it when I went. I didn't even think of Chef Mickey's. I'm going to check their menu now cause that might be good too. :)

Last year on our day at DHS we hopped over to Epcot for dinner at Chefs de France and then over to MK for Wishes and Spectromagic since Spectro wasn't on our MK night so hopping isn't a problem since that can be fun too since we took the boat and monorail. But with two kiddos this year I just want to make sure leaving MK is worth the trouble.

We always do Chef Mickey's on a magic kingdom day. We like the walk from Contemporary to Magic Kingdom. We always make it back to MK to see Spectomagic parade.

But we also love Le Cellier. It is a must do for us. But the kids would prefer Chef Mickeys.

What kind of tickets do you have? If you are just getting one day tickets (since you are only going to MK for the one day) it will be rather expensive to hop ($50 per ticket I believe). I think with little ones I would stay close to MK. It takes a bit of time to get to Epcot and back

I say give Tony's a Try--my DS request this every trip and loves it.
We've eaten there 3 different trips.
DS is 13 yrs. but I don't think I would want to leave the park and
come back especially with a baby--that sounds exausting.
We really enjoy eating at Tony's.

I would suggest a monorail ADR, we always do Chef Mickeys on our Spectro night it is tradition. Ohanas would be another easy option.
There are few pros to this, one if you have not been on the monorail this is a fun experience, two if you do CM you get to see the big cheese himself.
My kids love going on the monorail!
I would not hop for Le Celliar, it is good but not that good.

Our favorite places on the Monorail for good food are: Kona and the Grand Floridian Cafe
For Experience: Park Faire(character), CM(character) & Ohanas(my kids like the games)

Since you lil guy is only 10 mos, I would go with the family and try something new. The plaza or Tony's. or you may just consider having CS at Cosmic Rays and have a special ADR on your Water Park day.

I like PP's suggestions, while I am sure Le Cellier would be wonderful (I haven't eaten there) the park hopping back and forth just for dinner may be a little stressful with the two little ones. Pick something closer to MK...if you're wanting something different from Crystal Palace I personally wouldn't choose another character meal but would go with Ohana instead. JMO :goodvibes

We are going in Feb. It is our first family trip with our 3 yo. and 14 mo. On our MK days we are doing Chef Mickey and Whispering Canyon. Even though we will leave the parks, the monorail and boat rides will make it a special dinner. We scheduled at 5pm so we will have time to return for the parades. (I hope!!)

I don't think the TS offerings in the MK are that great so I always head to a monorail resort. I'm a big fan of the GF Cafe and I've always wanted to try Ohana but never seem to make it there. My sister just got back and Ohana is her new favorite restaurant so I have an ADR there on my next trip. I think the trip to Epcot just to eat on your one park day isn't worth it, IMO.

We have a 10 park hopper with waterparks with no expiration. We bought them a couple of years ago and just use a couple parks each year.

Thanks for everyones help! I'm thinking we're going to not do Chef Mickeys. I know it would probably be fun for the kids but one of the reasons I'd like to take a break from Crystal Palace is because it's not a nice relaxing meal to me. With getting up for my food and the kids food and making sure we meet and get pics with all the characters I feel like we don't get to relax at all and that's probably how Chef Mickey's will be. I'm also thinking we'll probably just leave LeCellier for the next trip when we go to Epcot again.

So it looks like we'll either do Tony's or I'm going to look at the monorail resort restaurants since those are so easy to get to also. I've never really looked into them but seems like there are some really good ones.

I vote for Kona at the Poly - great food and kid's desserts. Watch the fireworks from the beach.
