I am visiting WDW starting October 22nd and I have the regular DDP for 6 days for 3 adults, one child, and one child under 3.

My main question is which table service restaurant should I pay out of pocket, T-Rex (LUNCH) or Sci-Fi Dine-In (DINNER)?

Here are my full dining plans in case you have alternate suggestions about which ones I should pay out-of-pocket:

Day 1: Arrive after lunch. Dinner at River Roost (out-of-pocket).
Day 2: Breakfast in room. Lunch at T-Rex (out-of-pocket). Dinner at Garden Grill (TS DDP).
Day 3: Breakfast in room. Lunch at ABC Comm (QS DDP). Dinner at Sci-Fi- Dine-In (TS DDP).
Day 4: Breakfast 'Ohana (TS DDP). Lunch in room or QS at Mara. Dinner at MNSSHP QS or Snacks DDP, any suggestions?
Day 5: Breakfast Akershus (TS DDP). Lunch Sunshine Seasons (QS DDP). Dinner Snack around the world at Food and Wine (DDP Snack credits)
Day 6: Breakfast Tusker House (TS DDP). Lunch in room. Dinner Flame Tree BBQ (QS DDP).
Day 7: Breakfast BOG (QS DDP). Lunch Pecos Bill (QS DDP). Dinner BOG (TS DDP).
Day 8: Fly home early, breakfast in room.

Any favorite DDP Snacks suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!!:mickeybar

I'm only counting 6 TS meals. You should have 7 TS credits. Why do you need to pay OOP? You can use your other credit at T-Rex and not pay OOP there.

Good question. We had planned to drive and had budgeted and booked a 6-night package with dining plan and tickets for AKL Jambo with the room discount. Then within the last 30 days, we found a great deal on direct flights to Orlando and are now arriving a day early. We added a night a POR but did not add additional park tickets or dining plan.

Still, you have a 6 night package and 6 TS meals, so you're good to go with nothing else OOP.

However, since you have 3 adults, I MIGHT choose one adult to pay OOP at T-Rex, Sci-Fi, and BoG dinner and have all 3 share the 2 desserts from the other three. That might be your cheapest way to do all the meals and get the full benefit of the DDP. Just let the one who orders the cheapest entree be the OOP person.

It looks like T-Rex will be the cheapest for your kiddo, but check the menus to be sure.

That is a great idea! I had not thought about splitting credits like that among separate meals. I know people can split a serving for a QS credit meal, can we split a single serving for TS credit too?

You can, but if all of you still order, but pay differently, you're not really splitting the single serving (except for the sharing of the desserts, of course!). If you think that three of you can share and be satisfied with just two entrees, you can do that at the three places you have that are a la carte. Throw in an app OOP, and you might not need that third entree.
