Which wdw has the best atmosphere??

* a different scene from typical restaurants
* makes it feel like the place is an adventure itself
* is entertaining in it's style or showmanship

Anybody?

We always like San Angel Inn at the Mexico Pavillion in Epcot. We like the food although some find it not to be their favorite. We do agree the tables are quite close together though.

We just like the feel the restaurant gives us. We have never had bad service there either. Our servers have never been overly happy but they have always been nice.

was unique in that the lighting on the walls changed from sunrise to daylight to sunset. A very nice restaurant to try.......

I have to agree with dansyr...Coral Reef is pretty cool.

Ohh..good question...I'd have to agree on Jiko at the AK Lodge...Of course the atmosphere at 50s primetime Cafe is DEAD ON!

Jungle Josh

I like the California Grill for adults. Very upscale yet Disney. I have been there twice for dinner when the fireworks from the MK went off. Great ambience, great food.

I know the Rainforest is technically a chain, but I still think the DTD location has the most appealing ambience for a restaurant on Disney property. Second choice isn't technically a "restaurant", but you can eat there: the sushi/cocktail bar overlooking the world in Japan.

Wow what a great question! Hmm...I also really like the atmospgere at the California Grill. The view is magical, especially watching the fireworks!

Also, I was really impressed with the ambiance at Le Celier in Canada at Epcot. We went in the winter on a particularly chilly day, which was the perfect time to go there. It probably wouldn't be the same in the summer!

Restaurant Marrakesh is wonderful. You feel like you are in the Sultan's Palace!
Cinderella's Royale table is a great atmosphere. Definately not one you can get at other restaurants. I have just been disappointed in the food.

My favorite for ambiance is Sci Fi Dine In. I just love the feeling of sitting outside at the drive in. Very cool.

I also really like Rainforest Cafe.

I agree with Lexxiefern, the Sci-fi Dine In. It has the 'constant twilight' feel of San Angel, with the added fun of eating in the cars and watching cheesy movie clips.

Well--atmosphere means different things to folks (as we've already seen from previous replies), and I think each of the restaurants has it's own characteristics that will appeal to at least someone.
For me, I suppose Victoria and Alberts for it's elegant atnmosphere, and California Grill for it's trendy/busy look and feel.

The dining room at V&A is my top choice, too.

After that it gets hard because so many places have great atmosphere and incredible detail. Besides San Angel, California Grill, and Coral Reef others that come to mind are the castle, Liberty Tree Tavern, Brown Derby, Jiko, Artist Point. But really atmosphere is something Disney knows how to do.

I love the atmosphere of Coral Reef! I particularly enjoyed it because it kept the kids mesmerized for 1 1/2 hours!;)

For pure atmosphere, we love Sci Fi, Rainforest Cafe, San Angel Inn and Cinderella's Royal Table. And since atmosphere means so much to a WDW meal, these also happen to be among our favorite restaurants (with the exception of San Angel Inn - we have found we can enjoy the atmosphere here more from the boat ride than from the restaurant!)
