While we're in Disney with my BIL in April, he'll turn 17! Initially we listed his birthday at Chef Mickey's since we'll be eating breakfast there the day of his birthday, but the CM said "Let me see if they do something special for birthdays, I think they do....Hmm, no, I don't see anything." She said we could order him a cake for the meal and gave us the phone number, but the breakfast is at 7am so who wants to eat cake then?! We don't want anything other than singing, but the CM made it sound like they won't do that at Chef Mickey's. We're also eating at Donald's (breakfast), Ohana's (dinner), 50's PTC (lunch), and Brown Derby (dinner) while we're there so should we change his birthday to one of those meals instead? Which would be the best bet for singing? Anything else would be a bonus (like a signed card, cupcake, etc.), but we're not expecting it.

My dd celebrated her 6th b-day at Crystal Palace in '99 and had a signed card, a cupcake with a candle and CMs singing to her. Her face was wonderful. Now, I do remember someone celebrating a b-day at CP last Nov and there was singing going on. I don't know whether or not they were still doing cards/cupcakes or not tho. We were quite a ways away from the birthday table. Perhaps you could mention it when you make your PSs and then again when you check in at the restaurant's podium for you meal.

Thanks! I love CP so maybe we'll switch one of our PSs. We only mentioned his birthday when we made our Chef Mickey's PS since that was the only one on his birthday, but when the CM said they don't do anything I thought maybe we should just celebrate on a different day at a restaurant where they do celebrate birthdays.

I as an adult celebrated my birthday at Disney last year. Crystal Place did a signed card, cup cake and singing. Royal Table did chocolate cake and a decoreated table, I think they sang to me but I don't remember. Also, Ohano gave me a magical moments card and a ley. Make sure you get him a button from the park you go too. I got so much attention from the cm's that day. I am a pin trader and got a couple of free pins, a call from goofy and lots of happy birthday's.

Thanks. We'll definitely get him a pin. He's at that age where everything is embarrassing, but that makes it so much more fun!

we witnessed a b-day at Whispering Canyon, where they sang and gave a cake to the adult, but what the waiters did with the cake after they sang was suprising! I don't want to give away the suprise!
