Which restaurant at WL...

We would love to eat dinner at the Wilderness Lodge and take a look around the resort. Are we better off at Artist Pointe or at Whispering Canyon Cafe? We are me, DH, DD (6), DS (3), DS (15 mo.) and my IL's. We are eating at PLENTY of buffets and character meals so we don't necessarily need another one.

What do you guys recommend?

I think the kids would have much more fun at Whispering Canyon. Artist Point IMO is much more geared towards adults. Also since Whispering Canyon can be loud the diners around you won't notice if by chance your kids aren't on their best behavior whereas this would be much more noticable in Artist Point. Your other option is to go to Roaring Fork. Since you'll be doing a lot of big meals this would give people a chance to have something smaller if they wanted. The food is pretty good there and there are plenty of inside tables as well as some outside.

I agree, Artist Point is much more adult oriented.

Artist Point is a place where Parents go when they've dropped the kids off at NeverNeverland for a quiet night out. Whispering Canyon is almost geared towards children and fun-loving adults- they have broomstick pony rides around the restaurant, the waiters are loud (go ahead, ask for ketchup - and you will have every bottle in the restaurant brought to your table!). The food is good, and not necessaily all-you-can-eat (although that can be accomodated too!). Whispering Canyon is a tad cheaper too - at Artist point, everything is ordered ala carte (salad, entree, dessert - look for about $50 per adult). I recommend them both - but for different occasions!! Jill

Thank you all very much. Whispering Canyon Cafe it is!! Especially since my DH can't eat anything without putting ketchup on it...hmmm, I think he's nervous!!

Whispering Canyon is so much fun. Not only do you get a good meal, but a lot of entertainment to boot!
