Which resorts to tour and which to skip?

We have been to Disney several times but tend to stay at the same place. Our favorite is The Polynesian, we have also stayed at AKL, BC, and GF. We are going back in January and hope to check out a few of the other resorts to see where we might like to stay in the future. Right now we always stay Deluxe because of the convenience with the stroller but I am open to Values or Moderates. We have already been inside WL for dinner and plan to head there and Ft Wilderness for the Chip n Dale sing along. What other resorts do you recommend visiting? Are there any that we can skip for sure (probably All Stars as I don't think I could deal with loud tour groups and will never stay there)?

It looks like you've done all the monorail ones other than CR, so you could walk through it if you haven't already. If you've stayed at BC, I'm guessing you've seen YC and maybe BW? So you've at least seen all the deluxe resorts. I used to go to at least one other resort to look around every trip so I've seen them all. I'd suggest if you want to see a moderate, start with POR. It is a beautiful resort and you can actually tour it and walk over to POFQ while you are there. It is where I started. I've stayed at all the deluxe resorts except SS and WL but have toured both of them and have stayed at all the mods except FQ but again, while staying at POR I walked over to FQ every morning. I've stayed at Pop and ASSp and determined that I really wasn't interested in the values after that. AoA is worth walking around. I used to play resort roulette with the buses, just go to the area of the moderate/deluxe or value bus stops and either get in the shortest line or hop on the first bus to arrive.

Thanks for your reply. We didn't really spend much time at YC or any at BW so that is on our must do as we are spending 3 nights at BC this trip and 3 nights at Poly. We did go to Chef Mickeys but didn't really look around CR much more than that. I think BW area, WL and campground area and POFQ (for beignets) are must dos, and possibly AOA as I can see my son (and husband) wanting to stay in a Cars Suite in the future. Are CBR, CSR, SS, worth a peek or skip?

Both CBR and CSR are certainly worth at least visiting the lobby and gift shops and looking around the grounds. SS is a huge resort and the little I saw when walking around didn't impress me too much. It is strictly a DVC resort but does have a gift shop and a few restaurants.

CR. Earlier this month I dragged my partner on a crawl of the MK monorail resorts. I thought we'd hate CR. Instead, after 15 minutes or so of touring around CR we both looked at each other and blurted out how much we liked it and wanted to stay there on our next trip. The lobby and pool area felt very chill. It felt to us a lot like Disneyland Hotel in terms of vibe. CSR is also a favorite, with the best amenities and bus service of all the moderates, and particularly beautiful grounds.
