Which resorts have generic mugs?

You are correct, coffee, tea, soda and iced tea are the only CSR options. You can also refill mugs at Siestas pool side during their hours.

For future reference - is there any fruit punch or lemonade type drink available?

I've long said that I think the resort food courts should include an orange type drink in the machines. If real oj is cost prohibitive, surely they could add in an orange Hi-C, orangeade or Five Alive type blend to accomodate those who don't want to drink a hot breakfast beverage in HOT Florida. Even unsweetened iced tea would be a good addition. Personally, I usually get coffee, with lots of ice and creamers, but that's just me.

Gosh I am glad that they still have the old mugs at CSR. We are staying there for the night before we check into VWL for Labor Day weekend. Of course the thing is that I will end up buying the CSR mug and then the generic mug at VWL so Disney will be making extra $$ off of me lol

We went to look at other resorts and they all had the generic mugs, but we only had the old mugs - nice to keep, I agree, but it would have been nice to have had the same mug as the other resorts.

I can confirm that they have not switched since I bought a mug there last week.
That's what I thought so thanks for confirming it for me.

I still wonder if they would be selling the Resort design or the YOAMD ones at the Contemporary Sand Bar, because back in January 2000 that's what they did when the Food & Fun Center was closed for a minor renovation. Oh well I will see for myself in a few weeks.

There is but I can't remember which it is, HI C or Lemonade.

I loved the old mugs , the Resort specific mugs. I just used my old Caribbean Beach Mug yesterday (old and scratched)....from 1994....I love having them for the memories! pirate:
I'd like it if they switched the mugs back to the old style !!!:thumbsup2

OMG, OT, but do they still make 5 alive. I haven't heard about 5 alive in 20 years.

Back on topic, anyone know what beverages are available at the boardwalk for the mugs???

Does anyone know if SSR has changed to the YOMD mugs? Last I was there in Feb/March, they had old EPCOT ones that I got like 2 years ago!!!! We are heading down next week..... wondering if I should bring the old ones or borrow my sister's!! LOL We have the DP, so, we don't really need to buy new ones, it is nice to have the mugs by the pool though!

TIA!
Laurie :dance3:

Ha,ha, I just saw this! Actually, they do, but it's very hard to find. I saw it at an Acme not too long ago. I drank that in elementary school. :)

Pop and AKL had hot chocolate last time we were there. The hot chocolate is better if you mix it with milk (which you have to buy, but it is worth it.)

It seems like the lemonade is "light" and doesn't contain more than 5% juice. I think it also has artificial sweetener in it. Just something to be aware of.

We've never been to WL before, so I guess we'll assess the mug situation when we get there! One year at Pop we were so far from the food court we didn't bother with mugs.

We stayed at WL 10 years ago, and never had problems with the mugs, though the paint is wearing off now :)

We used our mugs for coffee in the AM, soft drinks and just about anything while we were there. Though the memories of details are fading now...I can update in Nov. when we return from our next trip.

I can try to post a picture once I have more time.

Just a quick question about the mugs - do you need proof that you're staying in a resort to be able to buy the mug? Why I ask is because we'll be staying off-site the week before staying at POFQ, but will be spending alot of time at the resorts (due to ADR's/ viewing the xmas decorations) that week. Therefore, I was thinking of buying the mugs (now they're generic) and getting extra mileage out of them before staying at FQ - is it wrong to do this? :confused3
Thanx

No you don't need proof so just purchase them when you feel like it and enjoy them.

I remember others posting when they were in WDW that they purchased the Resort design mugs at Resorts they were not staying at, since they collected them. I am not sure if they used them at those Resorts, but the point is they purchased them and were told they could not since they were not staying there.

I purchased mugs from CR, GF, Poly, and Y&BC when we were not staying at those resorts to add to my collection of resort mugs. We did use the GF mugs for dinner the night we bought them, but the others came home unused. Now I have resort mugs from all of the resorts I've stayed at and hopefully all of the resorts we will stay at in the future.
