Which resorts have the generic refillable mugs and which have mugs that have the actual resort name on them? Does anyone know?

Thanks!

We recently stayed at Pop, POR, & POFQ. All 3 had the generic refill mugs. So I assume all resorts have switched over. :confused3

I think the only Resort that has not switched to them is the Contemporary, since the Food & Fun Center is closing for good on July 30th.

I'm kind of sad about the switch. I like the individual designs! My goal in life was to have a Grand Floridian one! (because I always wanted to stay at that resort!)

Did they change the statement on the mug about it only being good for "length of stay and at location purchased" or is everyone on the honor system to only use it and their own resort?

Everyone is reporting these mugs still say good for length of stay, however they are also reporting that they also say you can use them at any Resort counter service location.

I, too, loved getting a mug from each resort we stayed at. Guess I can only dream of having a complete collection!!!:rotfl:

You're welcome and if you think about it that change makes sense. If all the WDW Resorts are going to sell the same mugs, why not let guests use them at the other Resorts.

You're right. I mean, just look at my schedule for this summer - POFQ, Swan and All Star Music in one trip. It will work out very well for anyone doing split stays like me (although I know they're not good at the Swan). I was actually going to buy a Boardwalk mug anyway (in addition to the 2 others) because we often go to the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast when we stay at the Swan/Dolphin. Now, I just buy the generic.

My only question involves New Years - I've done three New Years at Disney. Do they have something in place for people who will check in say 12/29 and leave 1/2 - or would they buy 2 mugs? I guess time will tell on that small snag. Overall, though. I think it makes sense for the reasons you stated. :)

Are these mugs good for refills in the parks or just the resorts? And is it just sodas and water or do they have juice, coffee, hot chocolate, you know - other things?

They're only good in the resorts.
You can get apple juice in them. Coffee too.

Not sure about hot chocolate.

At the risk of sounding stupid I have a question. I will be staying at the all star movies, do they have them there, and what is the deal you buy the mug then the drinks are free????
?????

CSR has not switched over as of yet.

I read on this thread that someone who just got back in mid July stated that CSR still is using the oroginal mugs in the photo below.

Each resort sells mugs in their food courts that are $11.99 each.
After purchasing the mugs, you may refill the mug at the beverage islands for free. It's a great deal, & the mugs make great souvenirs!! :thumbsup2

You can get hot chocolate in them.

Personally, I think the new mugs are ugly. However, it was nice to be able to use them at both Sports and POR during our visit last week.

Where can you get apple juice in them? Whenever we've stayed DH has had to buy the Minute Maid juices in bottles in the coolers. Can anyone confirm this for certain?

Not all hotels have free hot chocolate with the mug. CSR does not have free hot chocolate or apple juice like pop. They do not have the frozen coke like POP either.

Can anyone tell me what drinks they have for the mugs at Boardwalk???

I can confirm that they have not switched since I bought a mug there last week.

I saw the generic ones at Y&BC, BW, Pop, SSR, Poly, and GF on this trip and all 3 All-Stars in April.

Me too - hopefully that CR one finishes my collection in case we ever stay there in the future! There are still a few resort mugs that I don't have, but I don't think we'll ever stay at those resorts.

Just got back from CSR last night. We got the mugs last year at POR and used them all the time, so figured we'd get the mugs right away. We got the mugs the 1st day we were there - BIG MISTAKE!!! You could only get pop, coffee or tea with them, NO juice or hot chocolate (which just amazed me - if you don't drink coffee or tea, what are you supposed to drink for breakfast???:confused3 ). We were also so far away from the food court area that we only used our mugs a few times. My advice would be to check and make sure you're going to be able to use the mug for what you want and enough times to make it worthwhile BEFORE you buy it! :sad2:
We went to look at other resorts and they all had the generic mugs, but we only had the old mugs - nice to keep, I agree, but it would have been nice to have had the same mug as the other resorts.

You are correct, coffee, tea, soda and iced tea are the only CSR options. You can also refill mugs at Siestas pool side during their hours.
