Which resorts did your little kids find magical?

Back when they were in that age range it was the BC. They loved the pool and all the action that surrounded the Epcot resort area. They liked walking to the pool and seeing the characters
in Cape May interacting with the diners they thought it was so cool. They still talk about Art and how nice it was to see him in the lobby greeting guests. He was and will always be the
magic of WDW!!!! :thumbsup2

My kid finds something magical at every WDW resort we have been to.

For the Boardwalk she loves the view of the Skyliner, the green space, the entertainment, Ample Hills ice cream, the kiddie pool and the playground. (We stay here a lot because Mom and Dad love the location).

She also loves AKL for the community room, the cool animals, the pools, and the fabulous bread service. She also really enjoyed having “her own” bathroom when we stayed here.

She also loved Pop Century and All Star Sports for the other kids she met and played with, the decor overall, the games/TV section, the food court, and the open “field” areas.

At CBR she loved walking around the resort and crossing over the many bridges, the overall ambiance, and the food. And riding the Skyliner.

I think she’d be happy anywhere on property.

I agree with this. Mine do too, there are so many that have special memories now.

But if I had to narrow it down to two, I would go with:
Contemporary (hard to choose between this and the Poly, but my son loved eating in the QS and watching the monorail go by as we ate, and all 4 of us loved watching the fireworks from the bridge to bay lake tower every night). And they like the pool and slide. As they get a little older I think I would choose poly for the better pool, more tropical theme, but the energy of the contemporary is fun with any little who would love to watch the monorail as they eat.

Art of Animation (all of those statues and themed play areas were amazing, we just walked around all the pools to take pictures with every statue of lion king, cars, little mermaid, Nemo, and play on the Nemo playground, etc. No pool slide though.

My 4 year old just wants a pool. My 4 year old has wanted to stay at both CBR and the Polynesian. For kids that young, stay at a hotel that is in your budget that has the amenities/space you need and is open for booking.

I agree to stay at any resort that fits your needs. They are easily impressed at this age, enjoy it while you can. Any Disney stay is magical.

If I had to pick, I would say BC as my kids loved SAB at that age. (At those ages we also did Holiday Inn Sunspree back when it was new and $70 a night and they loved it. Good times. ps I just checked and looks like it's now the Holiday Inn Resort Lake Buena Vista, still around $70/night!) Now they are older and prefer any Epcot resort for easy access to WS eating and drinking.

Mine always loved the place with the best playground! AKL definitely has a good one, among the other things they loved about that resort when they were smaller.

We tried BC but it was tough chasing them around SAB, we found other pools to be easier to manage with more than one little one. The Cars section at AOA will always be special to them, too!

SAB is why I don't have YC/BC on my list of possibilities to rebook my now cancelled Poly reservation. I don't want to chase a 4 year old around that pool with an 8 month old to also look after.

For my son (4 at the time), the Contemporary was truly magical to him. He loved the fact that the monorail runs through the building. He would sit on our balcony and watch the boats, monorail, and train go by, not to mention the water parade. We had a really hard time getting him to come inside at night to go to sleep. We got a great deal on a theme park room and it was definitely worth it! For that first trip, we only took him to MK and it was so nice to have an easy walk back to our room. If I had kids your age, I would avoid the BC/YC because you have to walk outside of the pool area for the water slide. I bet my kids would say that AKL is a close second as their favorite (I heard many parents struggling to get their children to leave for the parks). We stayed here when we weren't going to the parks and we had plenty to keep us busy with!

Honestly, my two boys didn't care about the resort. They were there for the parks. Even as very little boys...they were all in on the parks. With that said, they always liked swimming in pools, but didn't seem to favor one pool over another, and that's including Stormalong at BC.

My kids have loved everything. So I go with what’s magical for the adults (and when traveling with kids, ‘magical’ to us usually means the most convenient). :-)

Another vote for AKL. The animals everywhere, being immersed in that environment, great playground, tons of fun kids activities, big Jambo pool, great slide And splash pad at Kidani pool. We stayed at WL, Poly, and Beach Club and this was our favorite by far ☺️

Art of Animation when they were really little. It's the most Disney you can get at one of their resorts.

My kids have enjoyed every place we’ve stayed at Disney, even when we’ve stayed off site at several Marriott timeshares (nice to have the extra space). They loved all the Disney resorts (with one exception, but that trip we still had fun). They also loved the Swan and Dolphin.

I’m paying, so I had always chosen where we stayed depending on budget and what was available. They had fun no matter what!

My kids have enjoyed them all. They really have no preference!
