which resorts are receiving MagicBands?

I have been looking on here and through google and can not find a full list. We are doing a split stay in Sept BCV/SSR. We have received MagicBands for BCV and I was wondering if we will be able to test them are whole trip.

Until the end if Aug the current test resorts are Pop AKL contemp and yatch. Testing has been extended at those resorts now until the end of October. New resorts joining in testing in beginning of sept are beach an beach villas Jambo house PO Riverside Poly and Art.

Ok, here is my dilemma: We are doing a 3 resort split stay. Checking into BC from Sept. 27-Oct.3. Next is checking into Pop Oct.3-6. Third stay is checking into PO FQ Oct. 6-10th. We are annual passholders. I logged into my Disney Experience this afternoon to see that we had the Magic bands waiting for us to customize. It said I had until Aug. 27th to do this. I, of course, jumped on this right away and ordered and customized me, hubby's and son. I then went to making FastPass+ selections. It only let me make them for Sept. 27th and 28th. Whenever I click on any other days it says no FastPass+ selections available for that day. Soooo my question is, Is this because that's when BC's testing of this ends? I am so confused how this is gonna affect my other reservation?? Also, will my AP's be on my MagicBand? Or will I still use my separate AP to get into the parks? And can you use your AP to still get FP's the old fashioned way even with FastPass+ selections? I am an old pro and know a lot of the ins and out with Disney, but this Magic Band has thrown me for a loop, lol! HELP!

I am sad I originally booked POP, then changed to POR, then was able to upgrade to WL...which I am now going to be staying at in September. If I had known my other who choices were going to be MB and FP+ resorts I might have stayed put. Oh well.

Did you see this officially some where - list of resorts until the end of Oct?

I was told by another DIS board member yesterday that the AKL Jambo DVC Villas are not testing for my Sept 29th date onward. However they are testing for the AKL Jambo DVC Villas earlier in the month of Sept.

Disney does not publish this list. You just have to trust me. I was the first to publish the last list. It is a known issue that many people have had problems booking FP+ past the end of sept but I wouldn't worry about that. As long as your res is linked then you should be able to go online now and order the MagicBand.

Are you sure akl is testing in august too?

I never got a official invite for either but I was able to order Magic Bands on MDE under my beach club villas resevation... the magic bands came in today. I was mainly wondering since we already have them if we would possibly be able to use them at SSR when we change resorts.

If not its cool... I am sure we will be able to use them the whole time for our park admission tho.

There is a post in the DVC boards I believe (since that's where I spend most of my time) where someone was at a testing resort and then moved to SSR. They were told the bands wouldn't work anymore at check in and they said that the bands did work to open the room and for tickets and such.

I'll be darned, I just checked and I see I now have that ability??? Wasn't there yesterday. Guess things can change just like that. Thanks for letting me know.

Now I'll have to see how it goes trying to order band and get Fast Passes now.

Are you sure akl is testing in august too?

Yes. Just not the DVC portion or kidani

Some of this info is great... But I'm still confused about my stay. We have a split stay... 2 nights at POP room only. Then we switch to CSR for a 5 night stay with package. I never got an invite but was able to order bands. When I log onto DE it just shows and let me make fast passes for my CRS days when makes sense since though are our package days. Wondering then if after we check out of POP they will reactivate our bands for our CRS stay. 11days to go!!!!

We are staying at Pop Sept 22th to 30th. Never got an e-mail from Disney inviting us to do the test. Checked MDE, almost everyday (I did not know I was supppose to get an invitation) on Saturday I had the opportunity do make the Fastpass+, and this morning I was able to ustomize our MB, they asked to confirm the adress, other wise, we would pick them up at Check-inn. We are in Canada so I have to wait and see if they will really send it home...

Bands will be fine for everything. Although they might not work for charging.

I'm happy to wait until all the kinks are worked out for the Magic Bands. Then I'll be happy to use it. No need to hurry on my account.
