which resorts are receiving MagicBands?

I have been looking on here and through google and can not find a full list. We are doing a split stay in Sept BCV/SSR. We have received MagicBands for BCV and I was wondering if we will be able to test them are whole trip.

We stayed at POP and POR. We received Magicbands for our POP only stay. Sadly we didn't tour the parks until we got to POR, but we still got to charge our purchases on the Band. AND they make great souvenirs. We just got home on Sunday and I didn't want to take my MB off!
 
Good to know... DH and I have annual passes but we will buying DD a 3 or 4 day park hopper. I guess we maybe able to use them are whole trip for tickets and charging then.
 
Thank you for posting this question.... I spent half the night last night reading through Andyman's thread and couldn't find the answer either. We are going in September, staying at WLV... haven't gotten an invite yet. I even had a dream about it last night, and woke up this morning and tried under different browsers in case that was the trick! (no luck)

If anyone knows which resorts are included in the September test/rollout, would you please post them? Thanks in advance
 

We are staying at Pop and AKL in September and we received an invitation for both.
 
Curious to hear responses. We're at SSR too, but in October.
 
Had a reservation for AoA Sept 4 and got the UPS express envelope with the invite yesterday Changed to POP and still invited to participate I would call the number in the invite OP and ask about the split stay
 
We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside last week of September and we got them.

Us too!! So excited POR last week of Sept and Magic Bands Fast Pass+

Make sure that everyone in your party is set up under Disney My experience. I had my hubby sign on to his account and we found the magic bands to order. Even though we are connected together. I had the fast pass+ info and he had the magic bands info, We ordered ours cannot wait to get. The DIS has a great video on fast pass + and magic band I review it and thats how I found the bands on mine.
 
We have a split stay in September between BCV and OKW and we have magic bands for our entire stay. :)

WL/WLV is not part of the September fast pass + testing :(
 
They were doing one at AKL but they excluded the DVC villas.

As to whether you get invited for a test now...I think you just have to get lucky and have it turn up on your acccount.
 
I never got a official invite for either but I was able to order Magic Bands on MDE under my beach club villas resevation... the magic bands came in today. I was mainly wondering since we already have them if we would possibly be able to use them at SSR when we change resorts.

If not its cool... I am sure we will be able to use them the whole time for our park admission tho.
 
I've got a friend who got one at Pop Century and was able to use it even when she moved offsite.

We are going SSR 10/20-10/31. AFAIK SSR is not on the list for FP+ till mid of October.

If it would come, how does it work? Do you get a notice from Disney (letter/email) or do you have to look at MDE?

I got the offer when I logged onto MDE one day. I accepted the Fast Pass Plus, but we are not going to use Magic Bands by our choice. We have 5children in our party and we are afraid they will lose them. In the fine print, it says they may charge you for replacing a lost band.

I spoke (again) to a Disney Internet Help Desk CM today. The information I received is the best I've gotten so far:

I have a 3-resort split stay beginning 8/31. The first resort is Coronado Springs, which is not testing. Second resort is AKL, which is testing. Third resort is WL, which is not testing. I also have a 10-day park hopper linked to my package stay at CSR.

The response I got from the CM after she spoke with a supervisor was this:

The Magic Band can be used for room entry and charging purchases to the room account at AKL only, from check-in at AKL through midnight on check-out day. The room key and charging capability will not be available on the Magic Band at Wilderness Lodge.

With regards to FP+, My Magic Band will remain active through the remainder of my vacation (AKL and WL stays) for FP+. This means all of my FP+ reservations should be honored, even after I check-in to Wilderness Lodge. So the only time I won't have MB or FP+ will be during the first couple days of my trip, while I'm at CSR.

This is the most credible and sensible information I've received so far from Disney. Because I've already made all of my FP+ reservations, I will simply print those out and bring them with me to present at WL, just in case there is a problem. In that case, I would expect Disney to treat it as a Guest Service issue and find a way to honor the Fastpass+ reservations, or make some other sort of accommodation in my favor.

Incedently, I have not received any email notification that I am participating in the test. But according to the CM I spoke with yesterday, I am in, since I received the Magic Band, and was able to make the FP+ reservations.
