My hubby just said I could start planning our WDW trip for the kids!!! I'm so excited!

So many thoughts are running though my head.

I would like to stay at a "monorail" resort. Which resorts are served by the monorail?

Now, we are probaby going to be going sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2003. My kids will be 6 and 4 then. Which of the monorail resort is best for young childred?

Also, where can I find pictures and prices for the monorail resorts??

:bounce:

The monorail resorts are the Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian. We stayed at the Polynesian concierge last month and really enjoyed it (DH, me, DS 17 and DS 3). Everyone will have their favorites, and I've read many posts on these boards about good and bad experiences at all of these resorts, so it's up to you to choose. Each resort has a different theme; depends which theme appeals to you. The Disneyworld website has info and pictures of all resorts and regular prices during different "seasons." You can get good discounts by checking these boards for tips and also mousesavers.com.

There are only 3 resorts that are on the monorail line - Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian. Here is a link to this sites info on the WDW resorts: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resorts/resortmain.htm

My personal favorite is the Polynesian, because I stayed there when I was young (before the prices were so outrageous). I loved the pool, the beaches, and the atmosphere, although I remember we loved going over the the arcade at the Contemporary.

Good luck in your decision!

Contemporary Resort

Polynesian Resort

Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

These 3 resorts are all Deluxe resorts on the monorail line. The links will give you prices, pics and just about anything else you ever wanted to know.

We are going in December a few weeks before Christmas with our 3 kids who will be 20 mos, 4 and 5 1/2. I've always wanted to stay at the Contemporary but you'll hear lots of great reviews about all 3 resorts. Personally we've never stayed at any of them because they are out of our budget for the time being so I can't give you any first hand reports.

Happy planning!

Unfortunatly I've only stayed at the GF, not the other two (though I visited both :) ) All I would say is marginally, and I repeat marginally the feel of the GF is a bit more adult in nature. That said, plenty of young family's stay there and have a ball so it's really nothing major - it's still Disney after all :)
