Which resorts allow 5 to a room?

We are going to wdw in April and our dd's high school band is playing, so we thought, maybe she might have a friend stay a couple of days longer, and that would make five. I have res. at a moderate but that is only good for 4. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Port Oreleans Riverside has a trundle bed, it's an extra charge per night, I think $15. My kids would not sleep on it when they were under the age of 10. If you have an aero bed you might want to bring that, might be more comfortable for a teen.

All of the deluxes have rooms that will accomodate 5. AKL has a deluxe room, WL has a deluxe that sleeps 6, BC, YC, Poly, GF, CR, all have a daybed and will sleep 5. In my opinion I would go with the Contemporary b/c the rooms there are the biggest, unless you want a Deluxe room @ the WL which is 370.00 per night plus 25.00 for every adult over 2. Might be pricey. Hope this helps!!

I'm pretty sure that POR is the only moderate that allows 5, and only in the Alligator Bayou section, where the trundle beds are located. We stayed in the Mansions sections with five a few years ago, but the kids were small and actually wanted to sleep on the floor. They let us do it, but it raised a few eyebrows.

The Ft. Wilderness cabins sleep 6.

ducklite, I have reservations at csr and they only allow 4 to a room. Yes you can have a rollaway, but they won't make a reservation for 5. I was couriuos about the deluxes. I don't want to pay the extra for a deluxe this trip because Easter week won't have any discount codes.

Coronado Springs also has a Jr Suite that sleeps up to 6. Its 275.00 per night and the lady @ the reservations office said they do not charge you for xtra people in the room. That could be an option? Hope this helps!!

This has always been a pet peeve of mine and trust me I'm not one to normally say anything negative about WDW but I have never understood why you can have 5 in a room at POR in the Alligator Bayou section but not in any of the other moderates which are the same size room. I know the AB section has trundle beds because we stayed there (and enjoyed it btw) but how hard would it be for Disney to put trundle beds in other resorts? Wouldn't even have to be every room, but at least it would give families of 5 more options. We stayed at the WL when my youngest child was 22 months so they allowed us to have 5 in a room. But as soon as he hit 2 that wasn't an option even though to me the WL rooms don't seem any larger than the rooms at POR. So since then we have either stayed in deluxes, offsite once, and this time we had another family member with us so we got two rooms at the All Stars. I swear Disney does it so if you are a family of more than 4 you pretty much *have* to stay at a deluxe or home away from home resort. They're both wonderful but can take a bite out of your budget. I really liked POR but like trying new resorts too. Someone once said it is because of Florida fire codes but I think that's a lame excuse (not that there shouldn't be fire codes) but we have stayed at numerous hotels and motels in and out of Florida and I always have told them we have 5 people in our room and I've never had anyone say anything about it. I understand that Disney doesn't want a room stuffed full of 7 Spring Breakers (although I'm sure it's happened)and when our kids get a little older we'll need more room but right now we are fine in a room the size of a moderate. My boys LOVE to sleep on the floor and prefer the aero bed to a hotel bed. Ok end of vent session. Thanks for listening!

We really enjoyed DXL/POR, but also felt compelled to stay there as the low cost, on-site option for our family of five. Since we spent little time in the room, the coziness is not a problem, but more options in the moderate price range for a family of five would have been nice. No real complaints from us though.

Disneyfan79, I checked out the suite at csr and it is $370/nite (peak season). If we could go during value season we would stay 5 in a deluxe. Also the dc discount for deluxe is only 10%. Anyway thanks for the suggestion. I did check at the Swan/dolphin and we can get a teacher discount of $129 and they will allow 5 in room, maybe we'll do that.

You didn't offend me. In fact you said what I have been wondering for quite some time. Speaking as a family of 5, we do have less options as to where to stay than families of 4 or less. I also understand that there has to be a "cut off" somewhere and if you say o.k. to the family of 5 then the family of 6 might wonder why 5 and not 6, etc., etc., etc. My problem lies in the fact that my family is not afforded the same discounts at certain resorts that others enjoy - "deluxe" rooms and jr. suites are never discounted so WL and AKL are not even an option for us. Before someone jumps all over this, I am not saying I should pay the same amount for these rooms as a standard room. If a discount is to be offered I feel it should be the same percentage discount for all rooms at that resort.

I'm not trying to air my "pet peeve" but I really think Disney needs to listen to the concerns of larger families. We are, after all, also spending more on admissions, food and souveniers also because we are a larger than "average" family.

I found that odd that the only moderate we could get was POR.

I must say though, that I thorougly enjoyed the stay!

It would be nice to have more of a choice. Hopefully we will be going again in two years, and maybe we will have to choose something off site.
