Hi we are going to be adding a new addition to our family and wondered which resorts will allow 5 people. I know that while the baby is still in a crib we can stay almost anywhere, but just curious where we can stay after that?:confused3

TIA

All Star Music has family suites
POR has two double beds w/trundle
Ft Wilderness Cabins
BC/YC, BWI, Poly, CR, GF
Two bedroom DVC villas
One bedroom Villa at AKL
Jr suite at WL

I think I got them all......:surfweb:

I think you did too!!!:woohoo:

CSR - Jr Suite; 1BR Suite; executive suite
AKL - Savannah Deluxe Bunk Bed; Club Concierge Deluxe; 1 Bedroom Suite; 2-Bedroom Suite; Vice Presidential Suite; Presidential Suite
WL - Deluxe Room (is that the jr. suite?)

thanks for that info...very helpful....I better start saving the money:rotfl:

It looks like it would actually be cheaper to get connecting rooms at pop or stay at POR than the other options...oh well we'll worry about that later.

Just an FYI

For comparison, the price of a Family Suite is $9-11 more then 2 Standard Rooms, or $13-15 less the 2 Preferred Rooms, depending on season.

Also a fridge is included in AS Suite.

Fridges cost $10 a night to rent when staying at a value . Don't forget the Queen size bed,a coffee pot and microwave are also in Family Suites.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Have fun at Disney wherever you choose to stay!:wizard:

Thank you so much..I think you've sold me. :goodvibes I didn't really know any details about the all star suites..but they look perfect for a family like us w/ small kids. :thumbsup2

so at the AKL the only way to get the one queen (or is it king? just looked at the site and can't remember already:sad2: ) bed and 1 set of bunkbeds and the daybed is to book a savannah deluxe room which starts at $375 a night? Am I reading this right?

We would like to stay here and would also like to get a trip in before youngest turns 3 years old so we can still stay in one room.

Jan. 2008 is the target date for this. wondering about discount codes for that time of year? one of the 40% off codes would be great bringing the rate down to our price range.

anyone have more information or stay in one of these rooms? also anyone have square footage for that particular room? I know I have seen square footage charts for all resorts before but can't remember where?

my version of the UG says the room capacity is 4. i hope that's wrong.

The Standard rooms at All Star Music sleep 4.

The Family Suites sleep 6.

The new family suites offer an affordable and convenient option for larger families with the amenities of a studio apartment.

Families can be together in the suite while enjoying separate sleeping areas with added privacy. Having two bathrooms will not only save time, but makes getting ready easier for the whole family. Plus, extra amenities like a microwave enable guests to prepare warm snacks and meals. With the extra room, guests can relax and recount the memories of the day before falling off to a goodnight’s sleep.

They:

-Sleep up to 6 (plus one child under age 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)
-Studio amenities and separate sleeping areas giving more privacy than a standard room.
-Queen bed, full-size pullout sofa, convertible ottoman & chair sleepers (4 separate sleepers)
-Private master bedroom and family room have 27” flat CRT TV and high speed internet access.
-Kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator (4.3 cu. ft) and coffee pot
-Two-full bathrooms

The Deluxe Resorts allow 5 people per standard room. The Value and Moderate onlly allow 4 people per standard room.

When I tried to put 6 people in a family suite at ASMO, they said that wasn't allowed. Maybe because our youngest is 6? 3 adults, 3 children.....ended up we are going with 2 rooms at Pop.

AKL - Savannah Deluxe Bunk Bed; Club Concierge Deluxe; 1 Bedroom Suite; 2-Bedroom Suite; Vice Presidential Suite; Presidential Suite

Keep in mind, the deluxe rooms are about to go the way of the dodo, for their conversion to DVC villas.

There MIGHT be a few left on Kudo trail still awaiting conversion, but I'm unsure of availability right now (especially with the moves and closings at AKL)....and certainly there won't be any left by the end of this year.

Nope, there are standard sized rooms with bunkbeds. Those rooms sleep 4.
