I will be traveling alone with my three kids (8,5 & 2) and my 14 year old niece to WDW in December. Which resort can we stay at? I have priced them all out and currently have ressies at the Contemporary, but I was wondering if we could do 2 rooms at the All Stars. The only thing is do you have to have an adult in each room?

Which resorts would you recommend for 1 adult and 4 kids. Or, if I can talk my sister into going, which resort would you recommend for 2 adults and 4 kids?

you don't need the two adults if you get connecting rooms, specifying in your reservation (when you make it) that it will be a "kids" room, therefore must guarantee connecting (as opposed to requesting it)

personally, if you can afford the deluxe resort, i would think the easy monorail transport would be ideal... the values are great, we love 'em, but not the most convenient when travelling w/a few kids...

whatever you decide, ENJOY!

Can we get two adults, three kids and a baby under 3 in one room at the Contemporary? Not sure if they have the two queen beds with a day bed?

Rooms at the Contemporry are quite spacious. They have two queens and a daybed. If you call down to the desk they will send up bed rails for the daybed if you need them. We used them at the GF years back, they were the nice Graco soft ones that fold down when not in use. Our girls are 7 & 9 now and we aren't cramped at all in the rooms at the CR. This time we'll be at the WL and Poly, I'm afraid that aft the huge rooms of the CR we'll feel cramped at the WL. The rooms measure out about 50 sq. ft. smaller according to the books than the CR and Poly. You should have plent of rooms for a crib for the three year old. Think that they're the Pack & Play kind that fold up when not in use. HTH

Mommy Poppins, did the WL roms seem small to you with your family?

We had two rooms at WL last year as we were traveling with my in-laws. They were definitely noticeably smaller than the Poly. However, they were also noticeably bigger than PO. We had a queen bed and bunk beds at WL last year. Our youngest slept in the PNP with my in-laws. I felt cramped at WL, but then we were there for 10 days and accumulated quite a lot of "stuff". LOL Plus, we had a stroller, etc.

Oh I remember the stroller days :( . NOt much fun, but they sure come in handy for carrying all the junk a family of four can accumulate! I really enjoyed my long Graco Dual stroller where they were behind each other. I liked it better than they ones where your kids are side by side and you take up as much room as a Hummer!;) . I hope DH is not disappointed by WL, it was his first choice of places to stay that we haven't tried yet. We finish up at the Poly, he wasn't too happy about that, maybe he'll change his tune after experiencing the room size. He IS travelling with THREE FEMALES that can pack like they're going for a month. :earseek: :earseek: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: THanks for the info.

Stay at the Contemporary. I think that will be perfect. You will appreciate the easy access to MK--walk or monorail it. No folding up stroller and trying to keep track of all those kids. The rooms are much bigger, and the baby doesn't count as a person so you can stay there with 6. I believe the standard rooms at CR are the largest of all the resorts. Plus the kids will think the monorail going through the hotel is cool.

The Contemporary rooms are huge! One should be fine and you will be right in the middle of the action! Riding the monorail is always a treat.......even the ten-thousandth time!

Hi!

I've stayed at the Cont several times - the only adult with 3 kids and one adult, another time with one teen helper, 1 adult, and 3 kids and we had plenty of room. We've been in both the tower and wing. The sinks are outside the bathrooms which is great for a family. Although I prefer the more subdued colors of other resorts, the Cont is vibrant and exciting for a first visit with munchkins of any age. :) Brings back such memories!!!

If in a wing I might suggest asking for a room closer to the main building - shorter walk. Equally important, if not MOST important is to request a room in the north wing facing the monorail. Oh, what a treat that was for my 7 & 9 yr olds to watch the monorial glide right past our room..I loved it as much! Also, we could see the tip of Space Mountain and MK Railroad - it is a dream come true room for first time magic dreamers!

If you have a tower room you might want to request a lower floor (rooms start on the 4th floor) - smoking floor is 8th fl so you would not be too close (unless you smoke and want the 8th fl;). Don't know about you, but we were way up there and I was always worried when the kids went out to sit on the balcony..not that the 4th fl is safer, but it sure felt better the next time we stayed in the Tower!

You are going to have SO much fun!! I did Disney 2wice a yr (winter weekend and week in the summer) myself with 3 or 4 children for many years. I have the most wonderful memories!

Oh, I envy you....it's going to be wonderful!!!
