We're staying in a studio over spring break and our two options are either Boardwalk pool/garden view or Animal Kingdom Savannah view at Kidani village. Which one and why?

We like BWV because you can walk to two of the four main parks. While I enjoyed staying at AKV last year--was at Jambo--I missed the convenience of walking to parks, especially having gotten caught in a traffic jam for 45 minutes.

If you have kids I would vote AKV, why? Savannah View.

If it is adults only then BWV, why? close to all the food choices at all the Epcot Resorts as well as the Restuarants in Epcot itself.

My advice is always the same, pick the resort that most appeals to you. I love all the DVC resorts so I think you wont be disappointed with either. with that being said it may be helpful to know more about you and your party. Ages, will you be spending a lot of time in the parks, which parks are your favorites, is anyone terrified of clowns, etc. A down side to AKV is its distance to the parks but a great upside is seeing all the animals from your balcony.

We will be traveling with my 8 year old daughter and really like being able to walk to Epcot and HS. Unfortunately it's looking like we're not going to get the boardwalk at this point because we're on a waitlst and need two nights.

When someone asks me where they should stay, I always say the following?
1) How important is it that you be near a park? If that will make or break your vacation, go with the resort located where you want to be.
2) If location isn't an issue, go with the resort with the theming that most appeals to you.

For us, that choice would be made in a second, and we would go with BWV.

We love the following things about BWV:
1) We love the location, as we totally don't mind the walk between either park. In fact, we LOVE it.
2) We also love that it is located near several other resorts. We love being able to walk to various restaurants and "people watch" as everyone walks around the water.
3) I am a runner, and the running path is great.
4) Did I mention dining options!?!?!?!?!?! The quick service at the Dolphin (short walk) is a particular treat (open 24/7)
5) Many people don't like the BWV pool, but I feel it has the best vibe on Disney property. Last time we were there, it was like a day-long party out there.

When we stayed at Animal Kingdom, we felt kind of isolated. We didn't like the darkness of the villas and hallways. It was February, so we didn't really get a feel for the pool, other than some late night swimming. I couldn't find a place to run.......It just wasn't us. I would definitely give it another try, though.

Well, we prefer location and we have teens so being able to walk to/from Epcot and HS is a big draw. But, AKV has fantastic theme-ing and great dining options and they take less points. These are the 2 resorts that I am going back and forth for adding points at...or we may just add onto our 75 HHI points. So, I guess do you want to walk to/from 2 parks and have plenty of dining options near your resort...or do you want animals, great theme-ing and Boma/Jiko?

It really is a personal preference.

Besides the obvious differences, one that is commonly overlooked...
If you have a car and plan to use it instead of Disney transportation, parking at Kidani is much easier than BWV.

Have a great vacation!

For us the answer would easily be BWV. Walking to 2 parks scores big points, especially since one of those options is the international gateway at epcot
