Hi Everyone. We had a fantastic trip to WDW in July and we want to go back again hopefully around May. We stayed at POP Century and it was Great.
We will be staying longer this time, 10 days. We have narrowed it down to 3 Resorts. POFQ, Caribbean and Wilderness Lodge.
Just like to know the pros and the cons from people who have been to these.
Thanks

CBR: great resort, love the tropical feel. Your room location can make or break your vacay here. We didn't want to pay for a preferred location so put in a room request on our res. for Jamaica or Aruba. We got Jamaica 42 side closest to quiet pool. Loved the location. Close to quiet pool, bus, and a short walk over bridge to food court, etc.

Haven't stayed at POFQ, but lots of people enjoy it for it's small size.
We stayed at POR and loved it there. We were in the mansion section, Magnolia Terrace, another great location. Beautiful theming, boat to DTD, and evening entertainment in the lounge.

With any of the moderates, I would take a look at the resort map (on allears.net) to request a location near to amenities.

WL: Loved it! I like having a balcony, and indoor hallways. The moderates are nice, but the deluxe resorts are WOW! Boat to MK, and a resort boat to CR and Ft. Wilderness, good for getting to ADRs in the area.
Beautiful pool with slide, 2 hot tubs, geyser, walking trails, 2 great restaurants, beach, marina, bike rentals, can watch Electric Water Parade from beach or docks. In summer they show movies on the beach.

Have fun planning.

We've stayed at POFQ 3 times now. Love the size of the resort, even a room in a less-preferable building is still relatively close to everything as compared to the other moderates. Transportation is usually good, the only visit we had bad luck with buses was during late May/early June (and that was an overall busy week everywhere at WDW).

I say Wilderness Lodge, for the reasons above, it is a beautiful resort, and the staff have been wonderful all three times we have stayed.

It is so nice to walk right out of the Magic Kingdom and right onto the boat back to the Wilderness Lodge.

One negative the counter service place is pretty small and does not have as many options as the moderate hotels do, if I was doing the meal plan with quick service and planning on using the credits at your resort I would look at the menus.

I would definitely choose VWL!!! It's so convenient to get everywhere with the boat to the Contemporary (for the monorail) or to the Magic Kingdom directly. We also find it very relaxing after a busy day at the parks!

Enjoy your planning!! :)

Best bang for your buck ... POFQ ... if Money is not a concern, the Wilderness Lodge would be my pick.

Since, out of the three resorts, I have only stayed at the WL. I would suggest WL. It's beautiful. It's truly an experience. My children love the pool. Although the wait time for the boat is sometimes long, it's convenient to get to MK.

Whispering Canyon Cafe and Roaring Forks have good selection. If you like to walk, there are walking trails and you can rent the 2 or 4 seater bikes to go through the trails. The decor is rustic.

We've stayed at POFQ and the Caribbean Beach. I much preferred POFQ due to size, bus service and housekeeping.
