Which resort would you choose???

We will be going to WDW it is me, DH and 3 kids under 6 yrs old. I have a ressie at ASMU Family suites for 11 days. I could also stay at PORS and I would save $430. I'm torn ASMU would be a bigger room and kitchenette but PORS is such a pretty resort and has alittle better amenities and is a boat ride to DTD. We have been to WDW many, many times but haven't stayed at either resort yet. What would you do??? I wish I could rent a micro at PORS. TIA!!!!!

I was in your exact situation! I chose to book two rooms at POP. Of the two choices you listed I would totally book the suite. To me the extra room is so much more important then the little bit of extras the moderates offer.

Its funny but I am leaning towards the suite b/c the micro is sooo convenient with little guys. They get soo caught up in the magic they don't want to eat soo being able to throw nuggets in the micro is a big +.

I think it really comes down to how much time you intend to spend in your room. If you will really make use of the kitchenette at the suites then that would be better than having to run to the POR foodcourt everytime you needed a microwave. Your kids might like ASM better than POR, too, given the ages. Everything is oversize and kids just love that theming! Even the kiddie pool is themed. Our family of 5 has stayed at POR and we absolutely love that resort, but my youngest is 6 so they are older and really liked the "swimmin' hole" aspect to the pool there, as well as the slide.

They are both fun resorts so good luck whateve you choose!

I agree with the votes for the suite... the kitchenette with the little ones is a HUGE plus.

But... you do have a fridge in the moderate... so I'd think about what sorts of things you need food-wise. If one of your kids still takes a bottle, definitely the suite.

It's also VERY nice to be able to put the kids to bed in one room, then shuffle around in the other without tiptoing. We stayed at CSR last June (me, DH, DD3, DS1) and we basically couldn't talk after 8pm. We did get our home movies made and got some reading done though... so it wasn't terrible. But we normally do DVC and LOVE the freedom of watching TV, and chatting after the kids are asleep.

Either way, you will have a blast!

I think you'll be happier at AS. You'll have 2 bathrooms, always a big plus with that many. Remember it's your vacation too. This way you'll have some alone time with DH. Can you really put a price on it?

I would go for the suite at ASMu.....more space with little ones is so important! You can put them to bed...and still have some 'space' for you and dh! You wont at POR.... YOu will have to decide which is more important...pretty grounds, ferry to DTD....ot more space and a higher level of comfort ...?

**Someone has the same thread going.....go check it out....all of folks posted how they would prefer the suite...and families of five that have actually stayed at POR...and preferred the suite or would!**
