We would like to eat at one of the WDW Resort restaurants during our trip to Florida in May. There will be 5 of us, dh, me, ds12, ds7, dd7.

What resort restaurant would you suggest for our family?

I am not that familiar with the resort restaurants, only the ones in the parks, but I'm sure you all will have some suggestions for us. Note - we are not seafood eaters, if that helps in your suggestions.

Thank you!!!!!

Happy Valentines Day.:lovestruc

Hi there,

You didn't mention if you prefer TS or CS or if it doesn't matter, but I'll share what our favs are:

AKL=Boma (Buffet) & Mara (CS)

Poly=Captain Cooks (CS)

GF=Garden View Tea Lounge (TS)

WL=Artists Point (TS) BUT we've heard that Whispering Canyons (also TS) is a blast for for kids!!!

BCR=Beaches & Cream

Have a great time!!:goodvibes

With kids that age if you want to do a Character meal we always do Chef Mickey's at the Contemp. Good buffet selection, fun characters and upbeat. We enjoy it.

For regular meals we like Ohana's & Bomas. HTH

I liked the Cal gril at Contemporary and flying fish at Boardwalk. For lunch we ate at Konas at the polynesian. Our resort POR has a good breakfast at Boatwrights. Signature item Banana stuffed french toast and sweet potato pancakes. Cal grill and flying fish both had superior service and excellant food.

We love the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. Pricey for adults, but good. The kids' meals are $7.99 like they are everywhere else. Best steaks on property in our opinion.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll look into those places and see what the rest of the family wants.

My kids love Chef Mickey's (Contemporary), though it's completely chaotic. We all like 'Ohana and Kona, both at the Polynesian. Boma is also good.

I love the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Great food, and service. Nice atmosphere.

The Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club is also excellent. They had the best prime rib I've never had, and the servers are awesome.

The Whispering Canyon Cafe is fun, but a bit loud. I was a bit disappointed in my meal the last time we were there (I got the prime rib), but other than that I've had great food there. Another mod here (Goofy4Tink)raves about their burgers.

Love breakfast at Cape May and Kona, Kona for dinner is also fantastic, Yachtsman has awesome steaks

My all time favorite for an upscale dinner is Jiko at the AKL. You can check out the Lodge while you are there and see some of the animals too.
I also enjoy 'OHana for a family meal - good food, beautiful setting, especially at a window table, friendly servers and a fun atmosphere.
I also like Kona Cafe for a great dinner.
The Poly grounds are beautiful too.
