Trying to decide - too many choices!!
Going to Disney October for 8 nights. I have a reservation offsite (Marriott Grande Vista - price for 2 bedroom for 7 nights was UNBEATABLE!) but I need to add an extra night on our day of arrival. Plane lands Saturday 9 am. Can add an extra day at Grande Vista, but for a similar price I thought it might be fun to stay at one of the Disney resorts. There are 4 of us and our twins will be 8 years old (boy/girl) No strollers this trip!
We are considering Art of Animation (Little Mermaid room) or Port Orleans Riverside (Royal Guest room or Alligator Bayou room (request)). Doubt my son will be thrilled with either, but these resorts are new/newly renovated! (My son does not like Pirates or Cars and wants a Skylanders or Super Mario room
) My kids liked the photos of AoA Lion King room, but $300 is steep for only 4 people at a value for one night, but then again it is ONLY one night? But that logic seems to get my eyes wandering to the deluxe resorts
We have stayed at POP, Poly, Coranado Springs, Port of Orleans - Riverside and French Quarter. We will have a rental car. We liked all the resorts. Poly was the favorite. POP rooms we felt were small. Liked the 3 moderates. AoA Little Mermaid rooms are like POP rooms, but it is only one night and a new resort. Then again, it is only one night so it might be fun to splurge a little and get a cool room that I otherwise would not spend the $$ on if we were staying a whole week. Our plane lands at 9am, so we can spend a good amount of time at the resort.
A friend of mine is a cast member and offered to help, but too early to book October. I want to be able to give her a priority list and not take up too much of her time.
ANY suggestions GLADLY appreciated. Too many choices!!

From the pictures, it looks like a really fun hotel, the pools look really cool, too. It's also cheaper than POR.
