Hi,

as the deals with dining plan for the UK for 2014 are out and they are open to everyone in the EU, we would like to book our vacation for October 2014, but I'm not sure, which resort.

We are my husband, our daughter (than 9) our son (than 6) and myself. It will be our first trip with kids and my husband and I haven't been to Disney World since 2003 for our honeymoon. We will stay two weeks, but planed to stay one week in a vacation home outside of Disney as we don't want to stay in one room for the whole time. We will have a car the complete time and planing on taking a break most of the days, because our son has some kind of perciption disorder (not sure if that's the right word) and get's overwhelemed sometimes very fast. He doesn't have the problem were often, only in phases where his mind is in a changing phase.

So if we book in the UK the prices for the Moderate resorts:

Caribbean Beach and
Coronado Springs are almost the same as for the Studios in the
Old Key West or
Saratoga Springs.

Which resort would you recommend, because my husband and I are not sure which would be best for the kids.

I'm so ancious for your opinions.
Sandra

Hi,

Although you've asked the question in resorts- i would firstly consider how you like to eat.
Are you happy with the counter service options on the quick service plan?
Or do you like to eat table service meals together?

I think that could potentially be the money deciding factor.

As far as resorts go- i would choose okw over ssr.
I prefer okw,and like the idea of 2 actual beds in the studio.
The main pools were lovely at both resorts, but the quiet pools really were quiet-often just me and my family (in August) which was great.

Cbr is currently being discussed at our house also for next year!
I've not been, but think it looks lovely.

I'm sure your son will be happy with any choice you make.

We have also stayed at por, which was a lovely resort too.(but I know there's not much difference at all between prices of por and okw-on this instance I would pick okw).:yay:

Thank you for the answer. We would like the regular Dining plan.

But the price for the CB or CS plus the Upgrade to the regular DP is almost the same as the OKW or SS, because they have a 35% discount there.

I think all the ressorts look great, but I like the pictures of the moderate resort pools better and the rooms of the deluxe resorts look bigger.

Hi,

In that case, I vote for okw.

Have a look at all the pools online,it really is a beautiful, welcoming resort.
The studios are definitely bigger than moderates, and you have a living area and small kitchenette.
Definitely worth it.:)

Is there a reason why you are not considering Port Orleans?

I've not stayed at CBR or CS but I'm not sure these resorts are as lush in the landscaping as OKW, SSR, POR or POFQ. I think the lush green surroundings are very calmiing for people.

I was personally disappointed with CBR but I also think I just love my private balcony too much! for a full week stay I would go with SSR or OKW for sure. I find the Deluxe resorts to have more privacy with your own balcony and the ability to not have people walking by your window all the time. These rooms are also bigger. The pools at both are large with great slides and OKW has sand surrounding the pool so you feel you're at the beach. Also, both have a boat to DTD which is so nice. Good luck!

SSR or OKW. :thumbsup2 I've stayed at both and loved them. I wouldn't choose a moderate over DVC. We've stayed at the POR and there's no comparison. SSR and OKW are deluxe all the way.
