I totally disagree, I think there are a lot more people who actually like staying at a value more than there are people that just stay there to sleep. Heck if it was that way, then the pools and QS would always be empty in the middle of the day since everyone is at the parks and I know that they're not. LOL We always like to enjoy the resorts that we stay at, and alot of times we do 1 or 2 resort days during a 9 day trip, to hang at the pool etc. We have went from Deluxe (most of our earlier trips) to now picking a Mod or Pop more often because we find more bang for our buck at them. Most of the deluxes are inundated with non-resort guests just visiting or eating there and that is a big turn-off to people, I personally don't mind it. I will say that we found AKL very relaxing the 2 times we stayed therePeople who stay at values tend to go to the parks from opening to closing, while those who stay at Deluxe want to hang out and enjoy resort amenities, plus there are so many visitors all the time.
The value resorts are often very relaxing during the day in comparison to the Deluxe resorts.![]()
Well of course. I can’t imagine staying at any resort you don’t like.I totally disagree, I think there are a lot more people who actually like staying at a value more than there are people that just stay there to sleep. That is why it's is great that they have so many resorts to choose from, everyone values something different

I’m another person in the “never say never” camp. That being said, other than the tower at CSR, I have no desire to stay at any value or moderate resort again. I don’t see the point of having a window in the room if you can’t keep the curtains open without everyone who passes by looking in (I do it myself without thinking). I had no concerns about the motel vibe or entering the room from outdoors. What did bother me was someone pushing a luggage cart on the pavement right outside of the room, which woke me at 2:30 a.m. Very loud!
I wasn’t a fan of the Contemporary when I stayed there a number of years ago and the recent Incredibles theming doesn’t improve my opinion.
I like the Boardwalk Inn, but the rooms were in need of a refurb when I stayed there several years ago and they haven’t been updated since then. I wouldn’t consider staying there again until there is a refurb.
Yes, we live in AZ too, and it does feel too much like home!Of the 11 WDW resorts I've stayed at, I'll never return to AS Music. The way it's shaped, like a bowling alley, meant that I had to walk by the pool bar every night walking from the bus to my room. For one thing, there was always a bunch of loud, drunk-acting(I don't know if they were drunk, but they sure seemed to be) with foul language there. I stayed at AS Sports once, not nearly as bad-it's laid out differently.
There's virtually no resort that I haven't stayed at that I wouldn't try. One of my favorites is one I had no desire to stay at until it was the only resort available one time, OKW. The only one I wouldn't want to try is Coronado Springs, but that's just me. I've been over there, and since I live right on the Mexican Border, it reminds me too much of home, just much cleaner!
