Son will arrive one day before his family. Planning to waitlist a studio. Which resort has the most studios in one catagory?

PVB standard 288 studios, SSR is next at 264 standard studios.
You mentioned those two...
In your opinion, with the numbers being that close between them, is one more likely in reality to get the waitlist than the other?

Historically SSR has had availability longer, so I’d guess it would also be more likely to become available. I’d also guess that someone w/ an existing SSR reservation would be more apt to switch if somewhere else opened up v. someone w/ an existing Poly reservation. But since you can have 2 waitlists, why not wait list both as well as stalk the RAT?

That would be a difficult guess. Poly has two advantages: higher number of studios and the rooms can be wait listed only as studios while the SSR studios are part of 2BR lock-offs and thus 2BR wait lists would also be in competition for the rooms. However, there might be far more members waitlisting for Poly than SSR. Since you can have two wait-lists pending for the same time, best solution is to wait-list both and see if one comes through.

The question was asked which had more studios in one category. Those are the two largest. Yet SSR preferred and PVB Lakeview even though there are fewer studios have more availability in general (not much more but some) than the standard category due to the increased point costs. This also happens at AKV with Savanna view. We do not know when the OP is going. If it is in the fall, it will be tough. I would put in a waitlist for SSR standard and Preferred. Just my opinion.
