Which resort has been your kids favorite? Trying to decide on resort for 5 year old & 11 year old boys. Which resorts have a lot of activites for kids? What about the best pools & slides?

Our boys loved the Coronado. They especially loved the pool, the slide in the pool, arcade, playground and the food court--Pepper Market.

When we stayed at the Boardwalk, our daughter absolutely loved it. With all the magic shows, games and other attractions - she was asking us to go out to the Boardwalk every night. Really great stuff going on for kids there.

No doubt about it.....BOARDWALK!!! They love all the activities going on around that resort.

Yatch & Beach Club has the best pool by far. Movies and campfires on the beach. Good kids program. Lots of different food. Great location.

I totally agree - any of the Boardwalk area Resorts! We've stayed at Swan and Dolphin. There's nothing like getting up & walking to Epcot or MGM, or taking the quick boat ride over if you're not up for walking. The Boardwalk itself has the best kids entertainment at night - magic shows, comedians, food & games. We liked the Dolphin the best (out of Swan & Dolphin) - incredible pool & water slide, great restaraunt options, very friendly staff & service. We loved coming back to the hotel after a day in the parks, relaxing a bit, and then either walking over to World Showcase or just hanging on the Boardwalk to wind down.

My kids' favorite pool is at the Beach Club...it's got the best pool area by far!

We have stayed at many of the resorts and Coronado has been my boys favorites. They nonstop beg me to go back there. I couldn't get them out of the pool!

Can't argue with that. Luckily when we were there, they were not checking and we spent an afternoon, and another evening at the pool. Our daughter loved the sandbar area - and the pool is amazing. The best on WDW property.

I guess the best of both worlds would be to stay at the Yacht and Beach Club and walk to the boardwalk in the evenings. Pool priviledges and great evening entertainment for the whole family!

My kids have never "not liked" any resort at WDW. On any given day they would probably tell you a different favorite. Right now they are most excited about YC/BC because that is where we're staying next. They love SAB. But they also loved the pools at SSR and Poly too. And they loved savannah view at AKL. And they always talk about Pop because of all the cool icons. I think kids are very easy to please.

My kids absolutely love the POP Century. Shades of Green and the Grand Floridian rank as boring to them. They all voted and insist that we either stay at a value resort or the Nick Hotel.

The Polynesian. We've tried some others but they always want to go back to the Poly.

My nephew loved the Poly. If I ever try another resort, it'll always be a split stay with a few nights at the Poly.

My son (2 at the time) loved AKL while my neices and nephews loved BC. The older kids loved the pool BC but the baby of the group loved the animals. I think it depends how old the kids are and what they like.

Our first trip to Disney was in January 2001 when my 2 sons were ages 5 and 9, so close to your boys ages now! Well we stayed at BC that trip and have been hooked since! 7 trips later and most staying at either YC or BC, trying other resorts along the way, but Y&BC is our DSs and family favorite! Absolutely the best pool and the location is great.

My kids love GF, Poly and YC.

DD (10) ranks them - YC, GF, Poly
DD (9) ranks them - Poly, GF, YC
DS (7) ranks them - GF, Poly, YC

We love all three of them so much we ALWAYS have troube deciding where to stay. We're in the middle of this right now. We have two weeks booked at YC and we're still going back and forth on whether or not to do a split stay at the Poly since we stayed at GF in January. Tough decisions!

My ds (10) likes the Beach Club (Stormalong Bay) pool the best. His second choice is the Swan/Dolphin grotto pool. And he LOVES the water parks

We only had 2 trips so far with our DS (7) but this past June 2007 trip he really LOVED CBR! If it was up to him I think he would chose CBR again in 2009! We do like to stay at different resorts each time. In April 2005 we stayed at POP. We enjoyed POP too.

We've only stayed two places, but Max LOVES Animal Kingdom Lodge... I love it too! He's very much into nature and science, so he really liked being surrounded by wild animals. I think he might like the pool just as much as the animals though. Good slide, zero entry, and two hot tubs for mom! There are also a lot of great activities for kids and grownups.
