Family of 5- mom, dad, ds18, dd14, ds9
we visit all parks as well as DTD,waterparks etc.(though MK is our fave)
which would you choose and why-(in order least to most expensive)
POR
AsMu
AOA
CR-wing

Here would be my choices in order:

CR-GW - proximity to MK and on monorail; daybed should suffice as third bed
AoA Suite - large room with three beds and second bathroom; new resort
AsMu Suite - same as above; flexible sleeping options
POR - this would be tight with five but it may work

For our upcoming trip we actually debated between CR-GW and AoA suites and ended up choosing the CR-GW. With the RO discount we got, the prices weren't that different. I just couldn't pass up being able to walk to MK. What made the decision really tough though was the thought of having to bathrooms at the AoA. Hopefully I don't regret it.

CR and AOA are actually the two I am debating most-and for the exact reasons you stated! The walking perk vs the 2 bathrooms!
Also, I think my kids would love having a slide at CR. I've also read that the pool is not usually crowded. Still just not sure my crew would make it in one room after staying in 3br condos! Pondering these things as well!

We did AOA last year the kids picked it over BC . We loved the extra room and two bathrooms and hubby could watch a little Espn in the bedroom while kids went to sleep. Plus having 2 bathrooms and a bedroom door to get everyone dressed or ready for the pool was a bonus. Kids loved the pool in fact they choose to take the Grandparents there next year. I don't think you can pick a bad spot your at Disney.

I totally agree with this! We are also a family of 5 (DS15 DS13 and DD9) and AOA is what we decided on. We definitely need two bathrooms. The boys share one and DH myself and my little one share the other. It is so nice to have the extra room!! Plus with the RO discount the price was great.

I would totally do CR. I have never stayed there but would love too. If you can afford it, why not ! I like the fact it is within walking distance to MK and I bet the view at night from the fireworks show is amazing :)

I would choose an ASMu family suite or an AoA suite depending on how flexible your budget is. I think with kids that age it would be really nice to have 2 bathrooms and a little extra space.

I put AsMu in the poll because the sleeping spaces are more flexible. I worry about needing to bring an air mattress to AOA since two kids would need to share a full. Not so sure about that!

Since you are doing waterparks I wouldn't choose a hotel based on a waterside.

My pick would be AoA suite - two bathrooms with teenagers would be the deciding factor for me plus having a bedroom and living room would offer more space to spread out in, and two tvs. Took a TA tour of the Lion King suites and very impressed with the space, structure and the bathrooms were very nice. We also walked the resort and I would pick Cars section. The creative design was great, the pool area well done with cabanas and the pool was empty even though a hot afternoon. And pics of the suites were appealing.

I have definitely thought about the pool slide/waterparks thing, and had considered not doing waterparks if we stayed somewhere with a pool slide. Although I'm not sure my kids would think that's a fair trade off! As far as AOA, I definitely think the Cars section is themed the best.

Well, my goal is to book by tonight and as of now AOA is winning unless there are more votes on my poll! I simply cannot decide on my own, and my family never wants to hear anything about planning-they just want the end result! :/
