Which resort for one night?

We are booked for a two week stay (off-site) this December. We just found out that the dates were off by one night and now my parents are booked at AKL the night before we are due to arrive. We are planning on flying in a day early so we can arrive with them but we are not sure where we should stay that first night until we move into our condo for the 2-week stay. We have thought about staying at Boardwalk Inn b/c we could spend that first evening walking around and eating dinner at the Boardwalk. We have also considered staying at AKL b/c we plan to hit the AK park the next morning. Or we coudl stay at WL and try a meal at the WC?? Or we could stay at GF or Poly and take advantage of the monorail the next day to hit MK. The only concern is that the first full day will be a Sunday and I would think MK is very busy the Sunday after Thanksgiving?? Yes, No? Any suggestions on what would be best? It is my husband and me and our two yougn daughters (2 and 4 at the time).

If it was me, and since you are going to have to check out the next day anyway, I wouldn't spring for one of the more expensive hotels. If you stay at one of the MK resorts, while it's true you could ride the monorail to go to MK in the a.m., you would have to check out by 11 a.m. (1 p.m. at the latest) or check out before you go.

You could stay at the Boardwalk and walk around it your first night. You might even be able to catch some of Illuminations from that area. However, you could do that even if you stay somewhere else.

Quick question, are your parents staying at AKL the whole time, or just the one night? If they're staying the entire trip, you could leave your things in their room after you check out, so therefore I would stay at AKL. Having breakfast on your balcony while watching the animals have theirs, is amazing!

Of course, it's really up to you, but I wouldn't spend the $ on a deluxe when you'll only be able to use it less than 24 hours.
