Which Resort for large groups?

We have a large group going with us on our next trip, some of them have large families so we have decided to go with the cheaper Disney Resorts. More then likely they will need more then one room. If you had to go with any of the All Stars or Pop Century which one would you choose and why?

Pop :)
I like the vibe. :goodvibes And the peaceful walk around the lake. I like to walk across the bridge to shop, eat or take the bus from AofA too.

Is there any possibility that a larger family might want a suite like at AoA or the ASMu? If the family needs two rooms, there is no guarantee that they will be connecting or even near each other. If you stay at AoA in LM rooms, some people would have the option of staying at the same resort and having the suite. the other option is All Star Music, which also has regular rooms and suites at the same resort.

Something to consider...

I'd go for Pop. Although it's not guaranteed that you'll get connecting rooms, they try very hard, be sure all reservations are linked as traveling together. Double check a couple of weeks before trip to make sure they are linked properly. I'd also fax room assignors around 4 days before arrival listing the reservation #s and names of the families that need connecting rooms. You may not need a connecting room to another family of your group, so you could ask for yourselves an adjoining room, which is a room next to another but not connecting via inside door.

As poster mentioned, Allstars has family suites, but they're prob more expensive then 2 rooms. So depends on finances.

I'm gonna go with AoA on this one.

1). Families have the option of staying either in a Little Mermaid (standard room) or a Cars/Finding Nemo/Lion King suite
2). You're not sharing a bus with any other resort
3). AoA has what's hailed as the best resort QS food court on property
4). AoA has amazingly intricate and fun theming

If your group is looking to go cheap, I would probably advise against AofA. The suites are definitely more expensive then two AllStar or Pop rooms and the Little Mermaid rooms are generally shut out of discounts that are offered at Pop or the AllStars.

POP :hippie:

- Value resort built later after AllStars and I think they did a great job with making landscaping and layout nicer and more lush.
- No shared buses and never really had any bus issues there.
- Lake view rooms, quiet peaceful and nice to face, at price of standard.
- Folks seem to think more connecting rooms here and request is honored more.
- Access to AoA food court which is really good and more expansive offering.
- Love the bowling pin pool. Large pool, never crowded, lots of lounges and tables.
- Fireworks view from resort at Epcot, DHS and even Wishes if you are higher up.
- Fun icons both there and AoA.
- The real plus of staying at AoA is their pools as they are only for AoA guests, but otherwise POP guests can visit, shop, eat, use bus, play on playgrounds, etc.
- Usually discounts, rarely at AoA regular guest rooms.

The 50's Lake View (Standard rate) are my favorite rooms! View of AoA from 50's.

Very true. Also the suites are in different buildings then the Little Mermaid regular rooms at AoA.

In October we stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort and we loved it but because we have some many people we are trying to keep it a little cheaper. Unless free dining comes out, to me upgrading for the dining package is well worth it. Looking into POP and then showing everyone else to see what they think. Thank you everyone
