We are planning to go back to WDW next Dec 05. Our children will be 4 and 2 at that time. Which resort would you recommend for Christmas.

We have decided on the following.

Rent DVC at BWV 2bedroom

Contemporary Tower Room-Will need 2 rooms for extended family. Plus it has monarail access.

Poly-We stayed there this past May/June and loved it. Plus it has monarail access.

WL-Just because it's Christmas.

Which would you choose? I am leaning towards one of the monarail access resorts because we loved the convienence.

Thanks, Wendy

Let's see....

Based on your information, I think I would choose either the Polynesian or the Wilderness Lodge. Here is my thinking:

The Polynesian offers the convenience of the monorail (which will be a huge plus, especially with two small children). It's Christmas decorations aren't very elaborate, but they are really pretty and well-themed to the tropical atmosphere. The Contemporary is also on the monorail, but it's Christmas decorations are probably the most sparse on property, so I would choose the Poly over CR.

My second choice would be the Wilderness Lodge because it's Christmas decorations are wonderful and it just lends itself wonderfully to having a huge tree and pretty garland. It is a Magic Kingdom area resort also (which is where I would imagine you will be spending most of your time with the kids), though there is no monorail.

Since its Christmas I would choose WL or BW due to decorations. While the Polynesian is a wonderful resort as is the Cont. I can't see staying there at Christmas.

If you can afford it, I would rent the Boardwalk Villa. You can rent 2 studios MUCH cheaper than a 2 bedroom. My second choice would be the CR tower rooms if you want to try something other than a Poly. I know WL is beautiful at Christmas, but you are going to have to wait for transportation longer during that week.

Have you thought about the Grand Floridian? This will be our first stay there, but from what I'm hearing the decorations are beautfiul, and you get the monorail access. You can't beat the monorail with little ones. Mine are 3 and 4 and it was fabulous not to have to wake them up and fold up the strollers to get on a bus!

Have fun!

We honeymooned at christmas time at the GF - Can't say enough about it! Beautiful decorations, fantastic gingerbread house - monorail, great meals. Go for it :D
