Which resort for Christmas vacation?

Hi there,

I could need some help in deciding which resort to book for our early Dec. vacation. We would like to have as much christmas atmosphere as possible at the resort.
So which resort would you suggest?

We always stay onsite and have been at POP, AoA,AKL, CBR, POR, CSR, OKW, Do,pin, Swan so far.

Our kids are 9 and 5, loved AKL, AoA and always POP.

We loved AKL in December. We were there last year. Would definitely stay there again.

Thank you so far for your replies! Has anyone been at Fort Wildernss during Christmas time? I heard that would be really awesome but since they seem to have some constriction going on I am not sure if it would be a good choice. Any ideas are really appreciated - thanks a lot!

We are arriving on November 26 and leave dec 4. We begin at bay lake, move to boardwalk and end at AK. I got these because that's how I could use DVC points at this time. After Dec 5, not much available with points. It gets very busy.

Bay lake will be great to get on monorail and see xmas decorations at the hotels along the route. Also can take th bost to Wilderness hotel for decorations and artist point. Boardwalk is great because you are close to Epcot and HS and we can look at all the decorations at the hotels around the boardwalk. And AK has wonderful decorations and we Can watch the animals.

I think the best decorations we at grand Floridian or wilderness.

Wilderness Lodge is a deluxe hotel with major construction well into late next year. It has a great reputation for Xmas decorations, but I personally would choose a different hotel this year. Fort wilderness is a campground.
Many campers do decorate their sites at Christmas. The later into December, the more decorations you will see.

Honestly, you can stay where ever you choose and have a great time!

I seem to pass by my resort lobby a few times, so it's not a big deal. I'm at the parks more or other places, or in the room relaxing or sleeping.

It's so fun though to spend time visiting other resorts! The GF for the gingerbread house. Stop by, get a sweet treat, or have tea or a drink. You get the idea!

I would just go with where you want to stay. They are all cute in their own way.

I would consider GF and Boardwalk. The GF is gorgeous with a giant Christmas tree and the gingerbread house. We stayed at Boardwalk last year over Christmas break and they also had a gingerbread house, a tree and beautiful decorations. There was also a large Christmas tree on the village green. I would normally suggest WL, but not with the construction going on.

Much as I LOVE GF (LOVE LOVE LOVE) the cost has gotten so out of hand there.

Loving the Epcot resort area, I would choose the Swan if you can get a deal. You can enjoy walking through the other Epcot resorts and all, and the Swan rooms were all completely remodeled. And it's a nice resort. That is, if you don't need Magical Express. You can always rent a car or use a car service.

Our last stay at the BW was honestly my last stay there. And I've been there a few times. I've stayed there before Christmas and over Christmas a few times. Not sold any longer.

One thing is I wouldn't count on it being warm enough to swim. One trip, I sat by the pool (December) in my cropped jeans and sweater. My kids (only ones in the pool) at the BWI. Going up and down the slide. Steam coming off the pool (yes, it's heated). But the 60's NO WAY that was the high and I'm freezing here watching them. Finally I had enough & had them come in and shower. And that trip the night time lows were in the 30's. Enjoying the pools can be hit or miss!

I would say Beach Club, Grand Floridian, or AKL.
