Which resort for breakfast?

My sister and I are heading to WDW in January. Our flight heads home at 3pm on our last day so we are not going to do the park (ME will leave around 11am). We are considering having breakfast at one of the resorts. We are well past the 180 days so options are limited but I'm on the look out for cancellations. What should I be looking for? The only resort breakfast we have done before is Ohana and we loved it. I would do it again if there weren't any better options.

We love Boma at AKL, WCC at WL, Trail's End Buffet at FW, and Captain's Grille at YC.

1900 is a good choice. Excellent atmosphere, very good food and a nice mix of characters. The Mad Hatter is great!! And it is also on the monorail line which is an added bonus. You could always do a "round trip" after breakfast on the monorail to check out MK, Contemporary and Poly whilst floating by in the air!

Depending on where you are staying, the monorail resorts that have some really good breakfasts are The Wave at Contemporary. Great buffet, very fresh, and a couple unique items. At Poly, we like Kona. Macadamia Nut pancakes or Tonga Toast, you can't go wrong. Just a boat ride away from MK or Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge has Whispering Canyon Cafe. The skillet is good and the antics will send you away with the Disney spirit. Over at Fort Wilderness, Trails End is really good too. A nice buffet, and like The Wave, has a couple unique items. If you are willing to venture a little farther, Olivias at Old Key West is quiet and quaint. Food is tasty, and the place never is crowded. Boma would be my final entry for good breakfasts at resorts. Unique, unique buffet, African inspired foods that will suit the palette.

We enjoy the peace of Cape May at BC, it is less crowded so the characters usually make it round twice to each table if you have an early booking. Then we have a stroll around the boardwalk, which would be a nice way to spend your last hour or two.

We are looking forward to trying The Wave at Contemporary! Also, the menu for the Italian place on the Boardwalk looks good. We were there a few years ago when Flying Fish was serving breakfast for some reason - I had a frittata that was delicious and it's on the new restaurant's breakfast menu! :)

Perfect description, though I might rate the food better than just tasty. I have commented in the past that I would put their Banana Bread French Toast up against Kona's Tonga Toast any day!!

As other have mentioned, the Wave and Captain's Grille are quite good. Also, Fresh Mediterranean Market at the Dolphin has a great breakfast buffet. It's a full buffet with lots of different choices, including a "make your own omelet" bar that my wife and I adore.

I also like Boma, The Wave, Captain's Grille, Kona Café, and 1900 Park Fare. There are so many good choices! (Will be trying Cape May Café breakfast soon.)

We will be trying Cape May breakfast for the first time in Dec. when is your trip?

I'm joining the bandwagon for The Wave. We stopped in quickly one morning and loved it! The buffet is the best I have had on property and the price is reasonable compared to most others.
