We will be staying at ASMu, with Q&CDP, and I was wondering which food courts at Disney resorts are worth a trip too? How different are the food courts, from one resort to another?

Any suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks~Lisa

The food court over at Port Orleans Riverside (Riverside Mill Food Court) was really good. They have a make-your-own pasta and salad options, which lets you specify which toppings you want. POFQ has really good beignet, but I didn't try anything else there.

We like the Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary Resort, and just yesterday we tried Roaring Foarks in the Widerness Lodge and liked that one as well.

The best resort CS food court with the most variety AND biggest bang for your (QS) buck is the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs.

If you're in the Epcot area, you could always take the World Showcase exit to the resorts and swing by the Boardwalk Bakery. In addition to a bunch of nice cakes and pastries, they make pretty good sandwiches.

Thanks!

We always have the most trouble finding something we like at DHS, so maybe we'll hop a bus or boat and head to one of the resorts to eat!

I really like Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary, Captain Cook's at the Polynesian, and the Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I think it depends on why you are going....For the food or to visit the resort or a bit of both...

Mara at the AK is great to go to because the selection is good, lots of seating and you can see the animals around and near the pool area.

The Artists Palette at Saratoga is great because there are tons of meal options and the food is really good but not much to see at the resort.

The Contempo Cafe at the CR is good because the selection is large, the food is good, and it is a quick ride on the monorail from the MK..

We tend to find most of the food is about the same with some special items for each resort. Like I really love the tuna at the Roaring Forks at the Wilderness Lodge and DH loves the burger there. We like to visit WL when we are not staying there. We both loved the flatbread pizzas at the Artists Palette but I would not travel there for pizza. DH loved the fried shrimp platter at Mara and would would travel there for a meal when we are not staying there.

I was thinking a little bit of both Danielle, grabbing lunch and checking out the resorts since we always stay at values! Thanks for the info!

We always hit POP's food court for some chinese food when we tire of burgers and fries!

Also good is CSR's Pepper Market for a nice change of pace.

We love the African stew, and chicken corn flatbread. Different from your standard fast food. And the zebra domes are great for dessert

Poly's has Tonga Toast for breakfast
Contempo Cafe has freaking awesome cupcakes
AKL has a stew and a really tasty falafel pita with couscous salad

POR has a lot of variety, but its pretty much the same American food you can get anywhere. POFQ has gumbo and beignets along with some American good, which might be a welcome change. (I honestly wouldn't travel out of my way for either, though.)

As a PP stated, they all tend to have classic american fare with a few items unique to that resort.

You don't have to do anything you don't want to. Really the only thing they do is bring drinks to your table and clean up when your done, so $1/person would probably be appreciated.

Pepper Market! I don't really know of anywhere else you can get a huge steak for a cs credit!

Pepper Market!!! We got a real bang for our buck here on the QSDP. When they added it up on the register our meals (DH & I) added up to around $60 if we had to pay cash.

I thought Pepper Market added at 10% tip automatically to the bill. Has that policy changed? :confused3

Pepper market at Coronado Springs.

It's kind of a hybrid of a table service and counter service. You get a great deal of good food, at counter service prices, you take to an indoor table seating area.

It counts as a counter srevice meal credit on the dining plan, and you get a full, regular meal.
