We'll be in WDW for 7 days in early December and I would like to see some of the different Christmas decorations at the resorts. Which ones do you suggest and why? I think I'll be able to drag the family along to see 4 or 5 resorts but no more than that. They don't seem to be as interested in looking at decorations as I am.

Thanks for your help!!

Well, there all really awesome to see in my opinion. If you are willing to do several I would pick the MK loop of resorts including WL. We did this last year when the decorations were up. We started at WL (we were staying there) then boated over to CR then took the monorail to view GF and Poly. The WL and GF IMHO are ones to really not miss. Disney incorporates the theme of the hotel into the decorations and has Christmas music piped in. You just have to go visit! :)

Enjoy!

Definitely don't miss those in the Grand Floridian... also this year, the Beach Club is pulling out all the stops, with a full scale model made out of gingerbread, and other baked goodies.

WL is also very rustically beautiful at Christmas!

My favorite is the Grand Floridian:

This is the life sized gingerbread house they set up from which they sell beautifully decorated gingerbread items.
Additionally, they have an enormous tree and lovely Christmas Decorations.

The Yacht and Beach Clubs are also favorites. The Yacht Club has a life sized old time Toy store set up in the lobby and the Beach Club usually has a tree with zillions of toys and gifts under it!

I agree with most of the others. GF, WL, Y&B Club, and CR just to name a few, I'm sure I missed some good ones. If you have a car you can see quite a few resorts in a couple of hours. While you're dragging your family around have lunch at one of the resorts, lol.

Is it okay to park at one of the Epcot area resorts to check out their Christmas decorations if we do not have a PS there? We are staying in the MK area and thought it'll be faster to drive to each Epcot resort to check them out rather than take the connecting buses. Thanks!

Does anyone know when they start taking the decorations down? I am thinking of arriving between 12/31 (if I can get a room) and 1/2. Does anyone know if everything will still be up on 1/2?

DisneyAlly,

You can also walk or take the boat to the Epcot resorts while visiting Epcot or MGM.

Yes, that will be no problem... just let the sentry at the guard gate know why you are there, and they will give you a 3 hour parking pass. Since those resorts are only a short walk, or boat ride away from each other, you will only have to park twice. We usually park at Boardwalk.

cindywwilliams,

You should be in time to see the Christmas decorations :D . We went this year from January 5-11, and many Christmas decorations were still up, both in the resorts and in the parks.

Have a great time!

I know for sure we'll be touring the Polynesian as we have PS there for breakfast -- tonga toast. Also, I have a PS at the GF for the tea for my 2 youngest and myself -- couldn't convince anybody else to come along. Then I hope to see the ones all of you suggested -- WL, CR, Beach and Yacht Club and hopefully AKL just to see the resort itself.

Thank-you!!
