Hi all,

Please help me decide between these three options. I am currently booked at BC - standard view, but still researching and debating. We are going 12/20/2019 - 12/28/2019, family of 4, kids will be 12 and almost 11. Here are the options:

Keep BC - standard view and be done with it (we are big Epcot people and Star Wars should be open, so like the walking options, especially for 12/24 and 12/25

Switch to Contemporary - Garden Wing standard view - like the walk to MK and the monorail to Epcot, worried about busses to DHS with Star Wars

WL - standard room Club Level - really want to stay here for the christmas atmosphere and can afford to add Club Level if we do - concerned that nothing is a walk and with everything being so busy for christmas, that we will regret not having the walkability.

What would you do?

We have just booked Christmas 2018. We looked at all 3 of your resort choices and finally settled for a split stay. We went with the Contemporary over Christmas and the Beach Club over New Year.

We had already agreed though if we had to just pick one it would have been the Beach Club due to the fact you can walk to 2 parks.

I agree WL looks amazing for Christmas but like you the transport options made me think twice.

If you're big Epcot people and want to do Star Wars, then I think Beach Club is a definite! You can't beat walking to two parks. If you love the look of WL, you could always take a break during one of your MK days and boat over there to check out the decorations.

If choosing between these three options, I'd go with WL for the atmosphere. I like their boat service to and from the Magic Kingdom. True that transportation to the other parks is less convenient. But for me, that decor would win out.

We went Christmas week 2015 and staying at BWV saved our trip. I can’t emphasize enough how crowded Disney transportation is that week and traffic is a nightmare. Boats, buses, monorails and then skyliners will be jammed. The more you can rely on your feet to get you where you want to be, the better. I would look at your park days and decide between CR and BC from there. If you will spend more time in EP/DHS, I’d pick BC hands down. Yes WL is gorgeous - visit if you can! But park transportation from WL will not be fun that week.

If you are really Epcot folks, I woud stay at the BC. It is a short walk to two parks during a very busy week. The less travel on WDW transportation the better, IMO.

Like DaisyDuck001, the WL would be my choice as well. With that said, we choose our resort by theme/decor/atmosphere rather than convenience/transportation. If Epcot/DHS is your main focus and convenience is a priority, then BC would be the best choice. But if atmosphere is important, WL wins over the BC for me. Good luck and happy planning :wizard:.

We are also booked for December 2019. We usually go within the first 2 weeks of December. Our resort of choice continues to be BWI.
