I have both resorts reserved for X-Mas, but can't decide which to choose. Both have pros and cons like:

Dolphin- is a deluxe with better location at a price of $1100 for 5 nights, but IS not Disney property and our family of 5 would have to share a room.

ASMu family suite- is a value hotel, but IS Disney property and more sq. footage which includes 2 bathrooms at a price of $1600 for 5 nights.

What would you do?

How old are your kids and how long is your stay? If your kids are on the young side, I would go with the suite. If your kids are older and you don't spend much time in your room, I would go with the Dolphin. I would factor in the length of your stay, too. The longer your stay, the more you might appreciate the space.

The kids are 6,13 & 15...all girls! The more I think about it, the more I lean toward Dolphin! I really like the location!

Can you put 5 people in a single room at the Dolphin?? I thought they only held 4. I would save the cash and stay at the Dolphin. I'm always looking for a bargin and they elegance will impress your older girls!!

They told me that the Dolphin will hold 5, but not the Swan. The rooms at the Dolphin are a little larger. It will have 2 beds and a rollaway!

I would pick the ASMu Suite because of the extra space. We recently stayed at the Polynesian with my MIL and the five of us were really cramped in one room. It would have been nice with more space and two bathrooms. However, if you don't spend much time in your room I would go with the Dolphin because of it's excellent location. We spend the most park time in Epcot, so the location of the Dolphin is ideal, however we really like the Polynesian's theme so that will now be our "home" resort. :)

I would go with the Dolphin. Christmas is a very busy time of year and you may be spending extra down time at the resort to get away from the heavy crowds. I would say that the Dolphin would be a more relaxing atmosphere to be in than a value resort.

Location, location, location! I would pick the Dolphin, especially at that price!
