Which reservation would you keep or get rid of?

I am traveling in April for a convention, we don't have a ton of park time but our first day there we will have almost a full day at Epcot. I really want to maximize our touring time but have 2 TS reservations for that day. I want to get rid of one an just do a QS.

I have Spice road for Lunch at noon and then La Hacienda for 6:30 dinner. Which one would you get rid of any why?

After flying in and checking in to BWV we will probably be at the park for 11:00 if all goes well.

I have never been to either one so i don't really know. From the menus there seems to be items at both that we would like. We are not big drinkers so not a factor in our choice.

Help me decide!!

I've never eaten at either, but if you're flying in that morning, I would get rid of Spice Table Road at noon. As you say, you will be there by 11am if all goes well. If it doesn't go well, and there is a delay, you'll be dinged with a cancellation fee.

I have not been to either of those restaurants but have been to the others is that "country" (San Angel Inn and Marrakesh.)

I would get rid of La Hacienda because you can get Mexican almost anywhere in the US, but Moroccan food is more hard to come by.

Also, I typically like to have my "big meal" mid day.

ETA: Also I agree with Disneylover99 that you might be cutting it close with a noon ADR. Maybe try to move it to 2:00 or so?

I'd cancel both and book Spice Road for dinner.

All very good points!! So with arriving in the morning I did cancel the noon spice road and went with spice road for dinner. I usually like to play things safe but was just assuming our direct flight would be in on time -- you never know these days. Thanks for the input!!

Yes, I completely agree! Noon is cutting it close if you think you will arrive at EP at 11 am. Plus, I would want to maximize the late morning and afternoon for park touring. I would arrive at BWV and decide from there where and when you want to eat. Boardwalk Bakery is right there and they have good sandwiches and salads. You could also go into EP and eat at Les Halles in France (just a short walk from the IG entrance). They have fantastic food and the dining area (both inside and out) are lovely. If you do Les Halles, that would also give you a chance to visit France, UK and Canada, head into FW for rides and attractions, then go over to Mexico and head through WS to end your evening at Spice Road (which has FANTASTIC food and really great service). Also, I have never had any trouble walking up to Spice Road Table (have done it four times).

You will be there during F&G so I'm thinking you are going to want to sample the food booths. I'd plan on that for at least lunch and possibly supper. The good thing at Spice Roads is they do have small plates so even if you aren't that hungry you will get to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. By the way, it's not Morccan food, it's all about the food along the spice road so its a great mix of different cultures.

If you were getting to Epcot first thing in the morning, you might enjoy that noon ADR to get out of the sun and relax a bit, but since you re arriving at 11am, it makes more sense to just snack around World Showcase for lunch and take that break at dinner. I think you did the right thing!

You may consider QS for lunch. We usually make dinner a TS, so we can have more freedom during our park time. You may get hungry in Mexico, or get a snack in Germany! But that's just us! We like having a set meal either for breakfast or dinner and let the lunch hit us wherever we are in the park when we get hungry. It's nothing against either of the restaurants as we have not experienced either of them.

Also, "if all goes well" never goes well for us!! Haha! Bus delays, check in delays, we've had toilets explode upon room check in, room changes, flight delays, a hundred things could make you late and then you'll have to sprint to Morocco without being able to enjoy the walk there.

Enjoy your trip!!

Good choice. Better to relax at dinner after a day of running around.
