DH and I are trying to decide on which category of rental car to reserve. No kids. Just 2 adults taking a road trip to DW.
We have a Pontiac Grand Am that's about 10 years old, so we have not looked at new cars in a long time.
We want a car that's roomier than a Grand Am, with a wider interior space (more elbow room in the front seats).
We are both plus size and my husband has very broad shoulders.
The Grand Am is OK for every day driving. However, it is too tight of a fit for a 2,000+ mile road trip to DW and combined with the age of the vehicle, we are leaning towards renting.
Looking at Alamo, their categories are as follows:
Midsize - Pontiac G5
Standard - Chevy Malibu
Full Size - Chevy Impala
What we would love to rent is a Midsize SUV (Saturn Vue is Alamo's example), but that is way out of our price range.
Which car category would you recommend for us?
