Which premium site do we want?

We are finally going to the fort! We have been to Disney many, many times, but never to the campground, so I am very excited. We have decided to go with a premium site, but not sure which loop. I thought I would post what is important and let the experts chime in. We want to be close to the pool area, as private and shady as possible and not near water (we have 3 preschoolers that I don't want to have to be worried about near any canals). Our TT is 26 ft so shouldn't be any problem in any site, although my DH is a bit of a newbie with a large trailer. We have looked at the map and Google earth, but still aren't sure. We are considering the 1400, 900 & 1000 loops, but really want some opinions from some who have been there. So, what do you think?

Thank you,
Karen

Since you asked, here are my two cents.

1400 is close to the campfire area. Of the three loops you listed, it probably gets the most sun (although of course it varies and you might get a nice shady site).

I've stayed in 900 and 1000 for the same reasons you listed and I enjoy both. If you ask to be placed near the Comfort Station (900 and 1000 share a CS between them) that will put you near the Meadow TP/Pool area.

Loop 900 is my favorite and the one I request when I get a Premium site. But 1000 is fine too. But don't worry two much about it. And a 26ft trailer will fit EASY in a Premium. They are 18ft wide (they flare out to about 35ft wide at the road) and over 50 feet deep so it will be good for hubby's ego. (just make sure the picinic table is out of the way before he starts backing). :cool1:

Enjoy!

I'd think twice about the 1400 loop because you have very young children. The Comfort Station in that loop serves as the public bathroom for the campfire show and movie... It gets very busy at times (lines), not to mention dirty. The noise level on that loop is pretty intense every evening as well. I'd go with 800 or maybe 1000. (Just note that 1000 doesn't have it's own Comfort Station and the 900 loop gets all the 2000 loop people walking through).

I'd go with 900 or 1000. There is a canal at the backside of both these loops.

I stayed in the 400 loop, but it is closer to the dock, not the pool. I rode my bike through each loop at least twice, and I am really considering requesting the 900 loop next time. Just for some reason liked it better. I did notice the 1400 loop bathhouse had a long line during the outdoor movie event. As far as getting into the sites, tell your husband that my camping trip to Disney 2 weeks ago was only my 2nd camping trip in this 32 footer. The only trouble I had was the truck across from me made it kinda tight to turn, but it only took me 2 tries to get it right. These sites give plenty of room, and I mean plenty. This doesn't even need to be a worry no matter which premium you get.

Happy camping, you will love the fort...

Thank you, everyone, for the advice. I think I am going to request loop 900, near the comfort station, with a side note of not near a canal. I really appreciate all the help. We are very excited!
