My 11 year old DD overheard me request Samoa or Hawaii (I only know they are popular) on the phone with a CM, and she immediately said, "No! We want Tonga!" Toleka? I don't know. Neither of us have actually stayed there. If you have, which longhouse do we want?

We're staying in November: Me, DH, DD11, DD10, DD8

It depends what you are looking for. Close to the main pool? Close to the TTC? Close to the lobby? Asking to pick your location for you is like asking someone to tell you what kind of Ice Cream you want. :)

Maybe this map will help. Note though that the Hawaii building is Concierge so you'll only get that if you booked a concierge room.

We always request Rarotonga because it is close the GCH and bus stop. We stay standard view, so we figure if we aren't going to have a cool view, we might as well be close to amenities.

Yes, we are definitely standard view and would like to be close to monorail and pool. Not sure there is such a house. But thanks for the map!! And the recommendations.

You mentioned possibly Tokelau? Tokelau is now DVC and should be finished by June 1 (I believe that's the date). Have you considered staying there at a deluxe studio villa instead of a standard room? You will have the same accommodations for 5, a kitchenette and a split bathroom (2 sinks and showers) for the same price. We will be staying at a studio in August and have the same number of family members as your family. party:

(I think an extra partier has snuck into that group up there! Lol)

The added bathroom is a bonus for us especially for getting ready in the mornings! I also figure we'll save a few dollars by having most breakfasts in our room. One thing to consider though, if you request Tokelau you run the risk of facing the east pool construction should they decide to keep that side of the house open. Maybe one of the other 2 DVC houses. One more thing, being on that side of the resort, you're close to the TTC for easy monorail access. Hope this helps!

Just a fyi the quiet pool which one side of Raotonga overlooks is closing mid April and potentially through the rest of the year. Granted November may be cold but there could be construction impacting your stay.

Based on current available information I would request Fiji, Tuvalu, or Aotearoa. I would recommend keeping an eye on tikimanpages as noted in thread and his facebook page which is updated constantly. You could always change your request as it gets closer and there is a better idea of potential construction
