Which PO resort

We are currently booked at POR. Originally we wanted POFQ. We've stayed there before and loved it. There were no rooms available when we booked our upcoming trip. So we took POR. I am thinking of calling to see if there may be rooms available now. What do ya'll think? It will be me, hubby, 6yr. old son and daughter turning 1 while we are there. I keep going back and forth as to whether or not I should even try. Part of me thinks it would be nice to stay somewhere new and the other part keeps thinking about how much we love POFQ. Any input will be helpful Thanks.

with your age group would go for POFQ - the main pool at POR is nice but definitely for an older set.

We prefer POFQ over POR! While POR was nice, it just did not measure up to POFQ, in my opinion. We didn't hate POR, but we had a few instances that we had bad bus situations, since the bus picks up at FQ first, by the time it got to our stop (the first one at POR) it was just about full of guests from FQ. So, if there were people waiting before us at POR, they would fill up the remainder of the bus that just came from FQ, and we would have to wait for another one. Plus, we had to stand quite often, more so than any other resort that we have stayed at.

It is also a pain if your room location is not close to the main lobby/food court area. The property is quite large, and it is not fun to have to walk late at night if you want to make use of your re-fillable mug.

Lastly, we just like FQ better. We love just love it there. It is our favorite mod, and we have stayed at all so far, except for CSR.

I'm in the same boat - sort of. I've booked at POR again, but still think I should try POFQ. I just can't make up my mind!

It could never hurt to try to get into POFQ. It is such a fabulous place, I can't think of a thing wrong with it.

We love the FQ....It wouldn't hurt to call ( and keep calling) if that's where your heart lies!!!

I think that is what I'll have to do. I called today but there still wasn't anything available. I'm sure we'll have fun no matter where we stay. I think the over planner in me wants to know exactly what to expect. We have visited POR and it is a lovely resort but I do think I would rather stay at the FQ. I'll keep trying who knows. If you can't get POFQ, at least you're trying something new. And.....you know it'll be a wonderful Disney experience.

I had this same decision last year and I picked POFQ and loved it. Very relaxing and manageable. POR is very large and when I visited there, the CM got lost going back to the lobby. That scared me so I won't be staying there.

I would stay at POR. I've stayed at both and much prefer POR. It looks like a much nicer resort and is very relaxing. We stayed there and had the best trip we've taken out of over 50 stays. Everything is easy to get to and there is so much to do there.

Given the choice between those two I would pick POFQ.
