Okay, so I checked June hours and MGM is open EvEMH's the 26th. So, reading thru about how crowded EvEMH's are, we need to decide whether to:
1) sleep in and go and stay late, OR
2) go early, go back for rest, then go back for rest of day.
*****NOTE: PS at SciFi at 2pm to catch parade afterwards! *****
My DS (6 yo) originally wanted to sleep in, but then changed his mind to going early so he doesn't (and I quote) "have to stand in any stinkin' lines"!! :rotfl: So, now I'm torn. I don't want to blow the time in the morning when we can ride ToT and RnR early w/o much wait; but I don't want to have long waits or not be able to ride them at night if it's too crowded for EvEMH. btw...we don't mind staying in the park all day with the heat going "commando"...that's not a factor with my boys. Am I making sense or having a blonde moment again?? :confused3

My vote is to always go early get the good stuff done then head back for a rest and pick up the others later at night

from what i've read on the boards, MGM is actually one of the parks that isn't as affected by the EMH at night. sounds like the park gets pretty empty at night, so you might not have to contend with lines.

this is just my opinion and what we typically do, but we would probably go early and stay through till the PS/parade and then either hit another park or go back to the room to relax. we are big into park hopping, so for us that might mean a ride on the boats over to Epcot to catch some of our favorite rides. then we'd go back and spend the rest of the night there.

of course, we might also stay the whole day and take no breaks. i LOVE to sleep, but i have a hard time rationalizing sleeping in and missing park time. i'd either park hop or stay all day. the important thing is to be flexible. if you get there and decide that you're just pooped or can't take the heat, you're the momma so drag your fam out of the park to the resort for a break knowing you'll all be glad for it later. but like your son said, the "stinkin' lines" are fewer and farther between in the AM. i wouldn't pass that up if i were you.

did i help? i meant to, so i hope i did!

Have an incredible time!

thanks.......and yes, you did help. i'm hoping the lines stay down at the end of the night.....that'd be great. i just don't want to go at opening, stay all day, and then stay the extra 3 hours at night!! that'd be like 1am...i think?! I am the same way...i'd love to sleep in, but i can do that the rest of the week at my in-laws house!! i'm not paying disney all that money to sleep in!! i'd rather be at the parks!! we will probably go first thing, see how we are after the parade and go from there...will depend on DS mostly. still, would like other's input too.............. :listen:
