This will be the first time I will need to rent a ECV to use during my whole trip in June. I have only rented from the park (Epcot) before and need help with which company is the best and why? This time I will need one to use everywhere. Is there any company that I should stay away from and why?
Are you staying at a Disney hotel site? If so I recommend renting from a preferred provider. You can go over to rpthe disabilities board and there's a wealth of information there.
I've rented from Walker Mobility in the past. They are good, but not a preferred provider if you aren't staying onsite. For this trip, I'm renting one from Buena Vista Scooters. They will drop off an ECV at the hotel and pick it up without you needing to be there. Leave it with bell services and they handle it for you.
Have rented twice from Apple Scooters (2015 & 2013) for my mom to use at parks & resort. Found their prices to be reasonable and no issues with customer service nor the ECV. Rented for about 10 days each time. Scooter was dropped and returned to bell services which was very convenient.
Not preferred. Featured. There are five (for now, with care Medical closing this summer) mobility equipment rental companies which have that designation because they pay a fee to Disney to be able to use Bell Services as the exchange point for rentals. Many excellent companies opt not to pay said fee, but instead meet the customer directly.
