Which place to go first?

We want to do 5-7 days at Aulani and 2 days at DL. Which order should we do them in?

I think we should do Aulani first, since we are flying from the Midwest with 2 young kids. Fly to CA, stay overnight, fly to Aulani the next day when they are still excited for vacation. Stay at Aulani, the fly back to CA and go to DL. Get them worn out from 2 days of park touring and then fly home.

My concern with doing Aulani last is that they will have too much energy after relaxing for the week and be restless on 2 consecutive days of travel home.

I would do Aulani than DL and avoid the red eye.

Good point about the red eye back. We didn't do Disneyland, but I will say that the flight from Aulani to St. Louis (overnight through Dallas) was a long one. Everything went fine, but it took a few days to recover.
