There are several threads asking which pin/pins you would love to have. Most answers were about the same with the very limited edition pins taking the top spot.
Which pin/pins didn't you like or wouldn't want to have in your collection?
I'll go first...

1. I didn't particularly like the "Hat" series. I thought the pins were dull looking.

2. Although I thought the concept was different, I didn't like the magnetic pins for obvious reasons. I like to wear my pins and pieces would certainly be lost.

Let's hear your thoughts...

Yes, the hat pins are very boring and those magnetic pins are absurd.

What really annoys me is to see the same pin over and over again, under different titles. For example, I am starting to hate Simba and Nala cubs looking at each other. Japan added some flowers around it and called it a "kiss" pin, days earlier it was a DL Mystery pin, that pose is in older German pins, you see it everywhere!

And yes, who is to deny that the sickening, AK 3 - 5 animals silhouette under the tree of life everywhere is a display of inadequacy? They took the AK safari jeep and added wheels.. Come on! Help me spend my money on more versatile pins!

So, a monotonous, repetitive pin really gets on my nerves.

I know what you mean about the Magnet pins... I never liked those... I also never understood the DL cast PTP's... Why clock faces???

But I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder... When I first saw the hat pins I didn't like them but with a little work they came out okay...

I would definetly agree about the magnet pins although I had a friend that went nuts for them. I liked the hat series but not enough to collect them. I think the biggest disappointment for me is the DL Divas Event ride pins. They are very plain and look like someone threw them together at the last minute.

Nat...you could make any pin look interesting but I still found them dull. I also disliked the framed pins, from DL, I think.

which my family definitely thinks is a good thing since they think I spend way too much on pins now but here is some of my oh hums
The DL mystery pin series.....I think they aren't very special and most of them wouldn't sell if they weren't limited edition (good marketing tool)

The beauty and beast pins all tend to be the exact same pose of belle and beast. Like there isn't more to the movie. That is why the auction one was cool and the Japanese one with belle and gaston. Something different!!

Give me more variety with more characters than mickey and pooh.

ewwwwyyyy!!! Didnt like them at all. I really wasnt thrilled with the Hat pins, but as you all know from my recent post .....My hubby loves them and that is his goal to at least obtain one
or more on this trip. Now if I only had traders worthy of them....oh boy! Also I did not like the
Mday and Fday pins, couldnt they have made them without the dumb door, they dont stay shut and get all fingerprinted up inside...icky!!! I would like to see more Movie characters
on the pins. And I really like most of the 3D pins...

Nat, I am always impressed with your framed collections.

But obviously, the hat pins were sure glad your skills helped them look good somewhere!

Wanda ;)

Wanda...I couldn't agree more. Nat's framing talent is to be envied. There are lots of pins that I can take or leave. We absolutely love DxL and stay there always, but that new, LE "Mystery" pin is from hunger. Why is it that DL pins appear so much nicer? Their 3D pins are actually far superior to WDW. Do you suppose they have different designers or are their merchandising/buyers more savvy? I wonder who desides which park gets what.

I never cared for the pins in the frames, round or square.
I loved the idea of the magnetic pins, until I realized I couldn't frame them like other pins.

I also am disappointed when some pins in a set are well done, and others don't measure up. I have the DL princess set from earlier this year. Belle and Aurora have beautiful full-swirled skirts. Ariel and Snow White look like they forgot their crinolines at home.

And what's up with this Crystal Palace pin? You have one of the prettiest buildings at the MK and this is the pin you design? I don't get it. It doesn't make me think of crystal at all -- much more like formica.
