Hi all,

DVC owner here - been to Disney many, many times, but took a long break recently and last trip was 10/04. We are planning an extended family trip from 12/2-12/9 with 10 people ranging in age from 1-63.

Since our last trip, my brain is overwhelmed with new info (EMH, MYW tickets, PS is now ADR, a few new attractions, changes in menus, etc), all leading up to me feeling not so much like the pro I once felt I was.

We likely won't be doing evening EMH because we have young children and old parents :rotfl: who will be ready to head back and crash at the hotel by 9 pm or so.

Would it make sense to plan to do the park that had evening EMH the night before, assuming crowds will be heading elsewhere that day?

This is our favorite week, you can do any park any day... crowds will not be an issue.

If you can do the morning EMH, then I suggest that park for the morning, head back to your resort for a break in the early afternoon, then head for another park later that day. The MK is usually a little more crowded on the weekends with locals, so keep that in mind. Also, EPCOT is open until 9:30pm, instead of 9am on non-EMH nights due to the Candlelight Processional. If you have the chance to view it, you'll love it! WONDERFUL!! Also, make sure to see the Winter Lights at EPCOT, as well as the nightly tree lighting ceremony. Finally, make sure to take some time and wander through the Magic Kingdom & EPCOT resorts. They have some amazing decorations & gingerbread displays!

We are going the same time and I am basing our days on when MK has MVMCP. We are not going to it, but MK closes at 6:00 on those nights, so I don't want to do MK on a Christmas party night. I'm waiting for the Dec. hours to come out, so I know when Spectro is running and when EMH is. Right now, I'm planning on staying away from EMH parks.

Out of our 6 nights, MK has MVMCP 4 of them, so that limits what days we go there, and they are filming the Christmas parade on the Sat. we are there, so I'm avoiding MK that day too. So for this trip we won't be spendin as much time in MK, but that's OK because Epcot is our favorite park anyway. :thumbsup2

I too am waiting for park hours, but my tentative plan is:
Dec. 3- MK
4- AK
5- MGM/MVMCP
6- EP
7-MK

All subject to change! Will December hours be out first of June?

Tentative:
11/30 Arrival/MVMCP
12/1 Disney-MGM
12/2 Resort-hopping, Adventurer's Club in PM
12/3 Epcot
12/4 Universal Orlando
12/5 Islands of Adventure
12/6 Magic Kingdom
12/7 Animal Kingdom, HDDR
12/8 DisneyQuest, Epcot in PM for dinner/CP
12/9 Water Park
12/10 Departure

hey cool!

ours is
Dec 2 arrive
Dec 3: mk
4: epcot
5:mgm
6: ak
7: MK or EP
8: MK or EP

We went in early Dec. 2005. We LOVED this trip. Our schedule was...

Mon 12/5 MGM day / dinner & early evening at Epcot
Tues. 12/6 MK day / MGM evening
Wed. 12/7 Day at AK / Epcot just for Illuminations
Thurs. 12/8 Epcot during day / evening MVMCP at MK
Friday ... travelled to the beach
Sat 12/10 Epcot day / Carriage ride at POR evening / Illuminations
Sun 12/11 MK

We didn't find the parks crowded any particular time. We often walked right onto rides and easily got seat for about any show we wanted to see. The pool at POFQ was blissfully empty (maybe because it was a little cool???). I think we ran into the most crowds at Epcot.

Great time to go ... Thanksgiving crowds are gone but the worst Christmas crowds are not there yet. You can enjoy the beautiful decorations without the heavy crowds.

We loved this time frame so much we would like to go back at this time again.
