Hello. My Mom and I will be taking a trip to Disney/Seaworld/Universal next month. We want to go to Universal or Islands of adventure. My Mom really loves Betty Boop. Which park do you recommend we go to? We will probably just go to one for one day only. I know HP is in Islands of Adventure, but we aren't intersted in that, but it will be opening week when we go there. What do you recommend? I need all the suggestions I can have. I've been pondering this for awhile and can't decide. TIA!

I'm not sure where you will find Betty Boop, but if you are not interested in Harry Potter, imo you would be better off at Universal Studios. Have fun on your Mother/Daughter adventure!

I was thinking Universal might be better. We can't do rides that spin in circles, go upside down, or with super steep drops ( I can so Splash Mountain). Hmm....

Thanks for the quick response!

There is a huge Betty Boop section in the store beside the Lucy Tribute at the Studios. She is also found in the Hollywood area of the park.

IOA has a huge Betty Boop store in Toon Island. We have seen her character there taking pictures, my mom is also a huge Betty Boop fan and she loves to go through that store when we are there.

US has more show type rides, I can't really guess if it will be slower or not because all the other US fans who aren't that into HP might be hanging out over in that side of the park to hide from crowds too. :confused3

Hmm.. So either Studios or IOA will have a betty boop area. I think just having the store or merchandise is what she wants.

The show rides seem to be more our style I think. This is getting to be really difficult to decide!:confused3

I've only actually seen Betty Boop over at IOA.

I think you'd probably be better off doing the Studios rather than IOA. Almost everything there has a steep drop, goes upside, or spins. The shows and rides at the Studios are very enjoyable and they'll fill your day. :)

Yeah! Betty Boop shows up at USF sometimes but most of the times she is at IOA. They have stores at both parks that carry the merchandise though.

You know what's funny? I've seen BB at the Studios more than at IOA. Maybe she's stalking me? :scared:

I'd agree with the general consensus.

IOA has a majority of thrill rides whereas Studios has a really good mix of attractions and shows. Pretty sure I saw plenty of BB merchandise in the stores at both parks.

I've only seen Betty Boop at IOA, and that was last year, she was near the Betty Boop shop.

When we go, usually in September, we find that we can fit both parks into one day. We dont do everything and every park, we just do our favourites now, but it can be done.

Personally (because I love thrill rides) I'd chose IOA. However, since you and your mom don't want to do that Universal would probably be better for you both.

I agree with you April
