Which park to see

My DBF and I are going to WDW in early September. I have never been there before :confused3 and he was there about 15 years ago. We will only be able to spend 2 days at WDW and it will be just the 2 of us.

If you had to pick only 2 parks to see, which ones would you go to - from an adult perspective?

We are staying at the Swan. Do you have any suggestions for places to eat while we are there?

I'm sure I'll have many more questions. This board has given me a ton of information already.

Thanks,

You simply must visit the Magic Kingdom, even as two adults. The MK *is* Walt Disney World. Period. Get there at opening and stay until closing. If you're lucky, it will be open late enough to have a nighttime parade and the Wishes fireworks.

Personally, I would choose Epcot as your second park, although it can actually take more than one day to see it. Since you're right at the Swan, access will be very simple. Start early in the day in Future World and then move back to the World Showcase for the afternoon and evening. Eat and drink your way around the World Showcase and make sure you stay late enough for Illuminations.

While MGM Studios and the Animal Kingdom are also both nice, neither is really a full day and all evening kind of park. With the two-day limitation that you have, I'd recommend MK and Epcot.

WELCOME TO THE DIS!!!! :flower:

I agree.

I would suggest Magic Kingdom and Epcot as well. . .they are the two that my fiance and I enjoy the most.

Have fun!!

I definitely agree with Magic Kingdom! You must do that park for sure! It's the heart of the magic! :wizard:

As for the other park, I love Epcot, but if you like rides, you and your BF might enjoy Disney Studios more...I'd go there just for Tower of Terror, Rock N' Rollercoaster and Fantasmic. -- You might think about doing a bit of Epcot in the morning and then you could head over to the Studios in the late afternoon, catch a few rides and shows and see Fantasmic. Since you are going in September, the crowds should be down quite a bit so you could do this.

I would get a park hopper pass. Is there any way you can do 3 days instead? If you can, then I would go one full day at MK and Epcot and 1/2 day at MGM and Animal Kingdom. I prefer AK over Epcot but that is just me. I could never just go for 2 days either lol. There is just WAY too much to see and do.

I would also do Magic Kindom and Epcot, but check the park schedules for the days you are attending, and go to Magic Kindom when it is open later and don't miss Wishes - the night time fireworks display, doesn't go off every night. Check the calendar, available here:

go to September and click on the days that you will be attending and see if SpectroMagic and Wishes are happening those nights. This is just my opinion, but avoid days with Extra Magic Hours in your park, as it causes more people to go to these parks and the extra time you have is spent waiting in longer lines. Have Fun. :maleficen

my 2 favorites are AK and Epcot but for first timers maybe MK for at least part of a day if you have park hopper addition..like mk in the am, epcot pm ( ak closes to early to split with something else imo) or if the parks are open late enough mk in the morning, epcot afternoon and evening ( illuminations) then next day ak ( or mgm since RNR and TOT are 2 great rides, i just love AK) then back to mk for the late afternoon/evening and wishes.now that sounds like a plan...you can rest when you get home !:flower:

while i was editing this happymommy wrote basically the same thing so it must be a good idea!!!:cool1:

I would vote for the MK and Epcot--MK for the Disney "magic" and lots of fun packed into one day; Epcot for some attractions with real *wow* factor (Soarin, Mission: Space, Test Track) plus the interesting sights, sounds, and food of the World Showcase.
Can you get park hoppers? If so, you could do a morning at MK (get there when it opens for best success), afternoon/early eve. at Epcot, then the next day maybe hit MGM in the morning for RocknRollercoaster (my favorite ride in the whole world) and Tower of Terror if you like the thrill rides. Then that afternoon/evening you could go back to MK.
Have fun!
