The family ( DH,DW,DS8) Are going to Disneyworld in November. We were last there 4 years ago. We are scheduled to visit all the parks arriving Friday morning from a 6:30 a.m. flight, which means we need to get up 3 a.m.)
My gameplan is to hang out the rest of the day ( Coronado), and maybe do downtown disney that evening, and dine at Wolfgang pucks.

The rest of the week is as follows:

Sat- MK. Dine at Cinderella royal table for dinner.

Sun-Epcot. Dine at Hoop-dee-doo

Mon-MGM. First, Pirate cruise for DS. Dine at SCI-FI

Tue-MK. Chef Mickeys for breakfast. Family magic tour at 10:00 A.M. Then rest of day at MK Or hotel for Pool.

Wen-Epcot. Dine at Lecellier

Thur- AK. Dine at whispering canyon for dinner.

Fri-MK. Dine at liberty tree tavern. Pack to leave on Saturday :-(

Here is my tough choice. I LOVE the MK. If someone had to eliminate one other park, and add another day at MK, Which park would you eliminate. We have seen them all.

ANY Advice!!!!???

pirate: TIA ARRGGHH!!

In my opinion, I would eliminate Epcot. I just don't like it. I am a ride kind of girl and to me Epcot just is not that.

Hmmm...let's see, from your schedule and parks I would probably choose to do 1 1/2 days at Epcot, which gives you another 1/2 day at MK - that is if you have park hoppper tickets? You definitely need 1 whole day at AK. Or maybe you could spend 1/2 a day at MGM and then go to MK. This will only work if you have hopper tickets. If you don't have hopper tickets, it would be a really hard decision. In my opinion you need the two days to enjoy Epcot and you already have three days of MK planned, so I would either just skip MGM altogether (our least favorite park) OR I would just stick with the original plan, which looks pretty good to me. I have no clue if I helped you any, but I do hope I did...!

For us, I would eliminate AK. It just doesn't have enough to make the day worthwhile. For our schedule, we have 2 open days and no days scheduled for AK. We may do 1/2 day at AK on an open day if we don't decided to do something else, but it is an option only.

MK is definite obviously. Epcot is a definite every time as well. To me, Epcot is just as much Walt Disney as MK is. Also, my oldest (as well as DW and myself) loves Test Track. MGM is a must for us since my oldest loves the Power Rangers and they appear there, they both love the Stunt show and the Big Bear show, and I love Rock and Roller Coaster.

We always spend the early part of the day at AK, and then park hop to another place, usually EPCOT. If it's not crowded, and you go on the Extra Magic morning, you could hit the highlights at AK- Festival of the Lion King, Safari, and Tough to be a Bug- and head to aonther part. We tend to park hop quite a bit because we love ending up at the parks with great fireworks.

I'd eliminate AK also. If you have park hoppers, you can do it in a 1/2 day. If you are doing the Pirate Cruise at GF, I would do MK on that day and do MGM on another day. Also do morning EMH at MK. You will get lots done.

As much as I really love AK, it is the one that usually gets skipped if on a short trip. It's so far away & not easy to hop too. In the summer, it's too hot in there to really enjoy it. We are not even planning it for this upcoming trip. Shame, because last time I fell in love with Primevil Whirl.

If it weren't for RnR & proximity, I could more easily skip MGM.

OK, how about 3 days in MK, 2 days in Epcot and a day each in Animal Kingdom and MGM. That way, you don't have to "eliminate" (kind of a harsh word for a Disney park) any of them. Of course, that is what you have, so try another morning at MK, and the rest of the day at Epcot, giving you 3 1/2 days at MK, 1 1/2 days at Epcot and a day each at MGM and DAK. All of the parks are so different, it is a shame to skip any of them ( and I am HUGELY partial to Animal Kingdom!).

So:
This is how I would arrange my schedule, since, to us, Saturday at the MK is a NIGHTMARE of unreal proportions, and Sundays and Fridays are great days in the MK:
Saturday: Disney-MGM and change your Sci Fi dining arrangements
Sunday: MK and Hoop De Doo
Monday: Epcot (don't forget to grab your FP for Soarin' as soon as you enter the park, as the line very quickly gets to over 100 minutes long and the FP's disappear very quickly!) after DS finishes his Pirate Cruise and eat dinner at Le Cellier
Tuesday: MK and the Family Magic Tour, with dinner at Cinderella's
Wednesday : AM in MK and PM in Epcot w/ perhaps Garden Grill for dinner
Thursday: Animal Kingdom w/ Whispering Canyon for dinner.
Friday: MK w/ dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern

We do have park hopper tickets

We never spend a full day at EPCOT. Every time DH and I do Disney...we generally hit a park (MK/MGM/AK) until about 4/5 ish...have dinner...then hop over to EPCOT. We love it there at night. Spend 2 or 3 evenings there and you can see it all

AK all the way, this has to be our least favourite park,it does have some good bits-Tough to be a bug,Kali River rapids,Dinosaur & Lion King.We normally spend the morning here then shoot across to Epcot to catch the bits we missed onj our day in there.Obviously this was on a Hopper ticket which now unless you pay extra, you'll not be able to do!

I'd eliminate AK...for some reason, whenever we're there, it pours....I mean pours.

My wife is convinced we'll never be dry there again.

How's this ??

Sat- MK

Sun-Epcot

Mon-MGM

Tue-MK (chef Mickey/family magic tour) / afternoon back at Coronado pool

Wen-Epcot

Thur-MK

Fri- MK

I love my MK!!

Since by your plan you aren't hopping, you might not want to bother buying hoppers (it says you have them)

If you haVe hoppers, I wouldn't stay in the same park all day everyday, I'd do a few nights at Epcot like someone else suggested.

Animal Kingdom! THat's me--but if your son is into animals/ dinosaurs-that might be tough. Then, maybe MGM. Good luck!

Fun..

The Unofficial Guide has a touring plan for 1/2 day AK and 1/2 day MGM, it might be worth it for you to use it and then you'll get your other day at MK.

We really enjoyed all the parks and would hate to leave one out.

And dont' forget you can do mornings at one park and then evenings at another.!!

I agree with your second plan, personally leaving out AK is what I would do. We leave in 34 days for a week and we aren't even bothering with AK, it just isn't worth it to us, my dd4 was not impressed with it at all. I loved the Lion King show but I can't see going for just that. I think you made the best choice in your 2nd itinerary plan. Good luck and have fun, and hey maybe once you get there you'll decide to do 1/2 day at AK and then the rest at MK, that is the good thing about the hoppers. I noticed you aren't doing any of the water parks, do you guys not like them? I would choose to do a water park over AK any day, we did BB last year, this year we are doing TL. :cheer2:

This is the beauty of park hoppers. :bounce:

If it were us: we'd have a half day each built in for AK and MGM. Use the DIS and/or allearsnet to decide on must-sees and focus on them when you visit. For us these would be:

AK: Safari, Dinosaur, Lion King show, ITTBAB, one walking trail (for us it's gorillas in Africa VS tigers and bats in Asia)
MGM: RnR, ToT, LMA stunt show, Millionaire

Then, have one full day at the end of the trip as "open". By then I think you guys will know if there is anything you missed at AK or MGM that really make you want to go back to AK or MGM. You may realize now that your DS is a little older that he suddenly wants to do ToT again, and skip some of the MK things you thought he'd really want to do.

With park hoppers, you can spend that open day catching up on things you missed at all three parks, or just two, or just one.

We have always got our extra MK time by leaving Animal Kingdom after a half day and going to MK. We also have left MGM after a half and went to MK. If I had to skip one, it would be the Animal Kingdom, but I wouldn't skip when you can get into MK after AK closes and do the same with another park.
