My parents are coming to visit me for one day (this tuesday) and they want to go to the parks. However, they have left the decision up to me of where we should go. They are looking for whatever park they would have the most fun at. However, I'm not sure where to go as they haven't been to a theme park in quite some time. Last time, they went to the parks we spent one day in MK, but that was about ten years ago and mom's favorite attraction on that trip was Alien encounter. Anyone have thoughts or ideas on where we should go?

I took my parents to Epcot, they didn't expect to like it (thinking Mickey Mouse) but ended up LOVING it!:wizard:

I agree, Epcot. After all, it IS Food and Wine Fest time, lol.

Edited to add, a tad late I see now, in realizing the date this was originally posted was Sep and not Oct! lol! Oopsie!

Update: I decided to take my parents to both Epcot and Animal Kingdom. They decided that they liked Animal Kingdom better than Epcot. They liked parts of Epcot but loved DAK.

I agree... Epcot seems to be very popular with older visitors.

I think it is because they enjoy seeing the different cultures... and don't have to rely on rides to have their fun!

You know my mom who was 70 when we went really liked the Studios - I think it was somewhat nostalgic for her - with the "great age of movie making" bringing back pleasant memories of her youth. She also thought the shopping there was pretty good! :)

My dad once said that he'd revolve his whole Disney trip around Epcot. So, I guess that's another vote for Figment's home. :goodvibes

Thinking of going to DLR? I have maps for that! Both parks DCA and DLR. I still have Halloween covers and World of Color covers!!!

If you’d like a set please pm me with your address!

Thanks,
Funball!!

Speaking as a Grandparent whose 36 year old DD announced last year .... "It's time to go to WDW, Dad go do that planning thing you do," I will join the majority and vote Epcot. Sure the World Showcase is fun ... try and stay for Illuminations at night and absolutely book a great dinner (try the Japanese stakehouse for fun, or either of the places in France). Don't let the miss Soarin'!!!!
Have Fun!

I also agree...I would take them to Epcot. All parks are wonderful but this one has a lot more things to do for adults I think and they have great restaurants. Le Cellier is my personal favorite at Epcot.

I agree with the other members, I think EPCOT would be the best park to bring your parents.
