Which park on which days??

We got the Magic 4 day 4 park ticket, so we don't need to make park reservations. We (2 adults and 3 thrill-seeking kids above 48") will be at Disney from Monday 9/25-Saturday 9/30. Our flight lands at 8:20 AM on Monday the 25th so that could be a park day, maybe AK, depending on how the weather looks that week. We have to use the tickets up by 9/29.

I am torn with which day to go to which park for crowd level and standby wait purposes. We are trying not to do Genie+ but may make a couple ILL purchases. We want to do all the thrill rides and "new since 2018" rides. The only thing that is on our "would like to eat" list is Oga's Cantina, which as of now still has openings for reservations most days. I am thinking Wednesday the 27th for MK, because that's a non-party day, so we can be there later. However, I am torn because it seems historically non-party days at MK are busier.

I am thinking Epcot on Thursday the 28th as there is a lesser known band playing, and Fridays at Epcot are busier with locals?

Which day for HS, Friday? Do Fridays at HS tend to be busier?

Gah I hate planning park days with this new to me genie+. I miss the good old days of FP+ . Plus throw in the unpredictability of hurricane season, this is frustrating.

Gah I hate planning park days with this new to me genie+. I miss the good old days of FP+ . Plus throw in the unpredictability of hurricane season, this is frustrating.

I would do MK on a party day if you don't want to invest in G+ for line skipping. The lines are much shorter and you'll do better.

Just be prepared for long waits and anything you choose will be great!

If you happen to be staying at a deluxe resort, I would do Epcot on the 25th because you would qualify for the extended hours.

I also think you should do MK on a party day for the shorter lines, plus then you can do a fun dinner reservation or Disney Springs in the evening. (Our trips overlap, I am doing MK on 9/24.) Unless you specifically want to see the MK fireworks, then you probably do need to do Wednesday 9/27.

Like the conversation here and helpful for me. But, what is a party day? Is that like going to MK on a day that has the Halloween party in the evening??I’m trying to figure out if it is a bad move to do MK on Labor Day morning or not?

Yes, party day is a day that has the Halloween party in the evening. People without a party ticket have to leave by 6pm.

We are at a moderate resort, so no extended hours for us. Good idea about dinner res, I didn't even think about leaving room for Disney Springs. We are at POR, so we can just take the ferry back to the resort.

Another thought was buying an additional single day ticket in case we don't see/do everything we wanted to at MK, but in that case, might as well just get Genie+ for that day to save some time waiting. I originally was going to get a 5 day ticket, but it was cheaper to buy the 4 day ticket and an additional 1 day ticket.

Just be aware that there is almost no food at Oga's, so plan accordingly, it's mostly drinks.

Oh I know, the boys are major Star Wars nerds, so it's a must for them for the atmosphere.

Or you could add on a Halloween party ticket, since you have an extra day.

Do MK on arrival day 9/25, since you won't get a full day.
HS or Epcot on 9/26.
Sleep in, pool, Halloween party on 9/27.
AK on 9/28. (less full day after late party night)
HS or Epcot on 9/29.

I would buy a party ticket rather than another day. The parties are so much fun, special snacks and entertainment plus shorter lines.
