Which park on which day and Scooby Doo?

We're planning a trip to visit US and IOA on Sunday August 12 and Monday August 13, and we'll be staying overnight at RPR. I've read in previous threads that the best day to visit IOA is Sunday. Is this still the case? Also, my son will be turning 9 that week, and he is a huge Scooby Doo fan. Are there any character meals with Scooby? Thank you so much!

Both of those days are great. With staying onsite, it won't matter. Remember that you can check in very early in the morning so that you can get to IOA for early entry on both days.

There are character appearances at the restaurants at the hotels including Scooby. Ask when you check in if the characters will be there while you are there and which characters are planned to be in attendance. The days can change and the characters can change. Right now they are at The Islands Dining room at RPR on Mondays and Wednesday, 6:45-9:15.

Scooby is also at the Studios park a lot. You should have no problems meeting up with him.
